I'm sure here are some players who played at least one of the Grand Theft Auto games.
So here's a dedicated thread about it. Rockstar Games' most successful franchise! (Hope this isn't a bad idea.^^)

So... What's your favorite episode? GTA: San Andreas? Vice City? Or the newer ones (IV and V)?
Who's your favorite character? Your favorite location? Any favorite story scenes?...

Here we can discuss anything about the whole series. The stories, the music, the characters, etc.
What do you think about the multiplayer features (GTA Online)?
Any disappointments on the already released pieces? Are there any things that you'd like to see on GTA VI?

Vice City is my favorite, though my PS2 no longer works. It reminds me of good times in college where everyone would congregate in my apartment and have "destruction marathons."

I never had a PS3 so I missed out on IV, but bought a PS4 especially for V. I played the crap out of it online for a few months, then got burned out and rarely touch the system anymore. I really need to get back into it.

I think I've done each of the story modes of those games but no online/group play. It's probably the greatest video game ever made. My only complaint about V is the enormous casino/racetrack just east of the freeway as you're headed to Sandy Shores. Seems to be no way to access the casino or horse races.

I was obsessed with Vice City for a few months. I would cruise around the city and listen to Emotion 98.3!

I played Vice City, San Andreas, and IV, all in story mode, never online. I got most of the way through VC, got bored with SA half-way through, and went all the way to the final helicopter mission in IV but couldn't complete it. Truthfully, I probably spent more time stealing cars, mowing down cops, and trying to sustain a 5-star wanted rating for as long as possible. And enjoying the great soundtrack.

I read the beta version of GTA V had horses and Rockstar tried to develop a casino system for the game, both things were omitted in the released version unfortunately.

It's true Vice City had the best soundtrack and it was tough to improve it for the next few episodes.

I loved Vice City and San Andreas. It was awesome when they gave you the ability to control how your character looked, with the tats and the clothing-or if you ate too much at Cluckin' Bell you got fat. vicre City was great, just due to the fact that it was like watching a playable version of Scarface. That game is the reason why I even bought a PS2. I used to collect Comets (one of the car) in different colors, and line them up in my driveway.

I used to know exactly where a rocket launcher was; I'd go do something to get the cops on my tail, and then start blowing stuff up until I got 5 stars. At that point, I'd barricade myself in this little plaza and try to work my way out of there. It rarely worked, as the helicopters would swarm me.

I still remember how I felt when I watched the very first trailer of GTA V. I nearly exploded back then!^^

Kinda sad they changed the graphics a bit afterwards when the game came out. But I was positive about it all the way through.

It's weird that the body features are not available on the recent episode. Though, as I read, the beta version had that feature.
Hope it'll come back on GTA VI. There's big speculation that we might see a HD version of Vice City then.

First trailer of the, in some ways, underrated GTA IV.

Of course many elements/details were changed in later trailers and the released game.
Btw, the video is based on scenes of the film Koyaanisqatsi.

Not a trailer, but actually the real introduction of San Andreas before we could begin to play the story.

I could never get into IV, for some reason. I can hardly remember anything about it, except that the characters were Russian.
I'll never forget in San Andreas, dressing as a gimp with a, uh, rubber toy as a weapon. Wasn't exactly what I was expecting.

I love GTA IV! Guess I played the story more than twelve times over the years and never got bored with it. The main protagonist was Serbian btw.
And yeah, San Andreas was very explicit in some ways. There was a 'Hot Coffee' mini game in the early release which was kicked out later.

I've played most of them. They get better (mostly) as they come out. They add more stuff. V is my favorite, so far. There's so much you can do. You can even put earrings on one guy, and have a pet dog.

I remember the first, at the time it was a wow game. As in, really you can do that.
Vice City and San Andreas were my favourites.

I recently got GTA 5 for the Xbox One (a bit late to the party.) My taste in games, patience and dedication is not what it used to be! I got up to the part early in the game where you have to duck and take cover. I farted around for about 5 minutes, couldn't figure out how to do it, yanked the game out in disgust and have yet to get back to it! Yes, I suck :)

I played the GTA5's story mode completely through 2-3 times when it was 1st released, thought it was great and put it aside. More than a year passed when my son came over and showed me how to play online. I really enjoyed it, got really good and still play today!

I'm waiting for Red Dead Redemption II to come out, gonna have to spring for a PS4!;)

Lately I played the story of GTA V through the fourth time and it's great noticing new things everytime though the story was repeated.
I have the game since a few years but recently I just found out you can even hang out with two characters simultaneously, so I (as Michael) picked up Trevor and Franklin and we all went golfing and had some drinks afterwards.
There was lots of (new) dialogue during driving I never heard before. Should pick 'em up altogether more now.

I've played all of the mainline games except for I and II. I just never bothered because of the top-down perspective. But I've also played a couple of the GTA side projects like Liberty City and Vice City Stories. I also own the Vice City soundtrack box set.

My favorite is still GTA III. Just love the layout of that city, crap visuals and all. Classic.
