Just saw this thread..... makes me wonder exactly what Chad/Acoustic Sounds bought when they advertised the purchase of Classic Records. Tons of unreleased pressings showing up on eBay under "themusic24", "test pressings" and "postitos" and all those seller names based in California......... probably where Mike Hobson is storing his "personal archive collection".

Does anyone know how rare are these Nickel Metal Masters ? Are they worth the money that they sell for ? It seems like they are expensive ... why would someone want them ?

Thanks for any input ... Long Live Analouge . PR

They are the master discs that were cut by Bernie Grundman when Classic released the early 2000s. 1 each per side of each record. They were used to make Mothers for 180g and 200g pressings. Why would someone want them? Technically you could play them, but the would really be archival museum pieces. So in all likelihood, you would display it. There's no way Jimmy Page would allow a repress. Are they worth the money? Free market, the are worth whatever someone will pay for them.
