I was thrilled when I saw Barry and Maureen's (!) names. I was like, "What has Maureen been doing lately? Has she even done anything recently?"
Last night for dinner I had pork chops and applesauce and any time I do it reminds me of... I still don't understand why Peter thought that becoming Humphrey Bogart of all people made sense. That sounds like something a bunch of middle-aged writers came up with... Hey!
What is the best season of the original show? Also, are any of the 1980s-1990 TV movies available officially?
Funny you should post that. My dad and I were watching the same exact video last night and porkchops & applesauce is on the dinner menu for tonight at our house.
Just a head's up that The Brady Bunch: The Complete Series DVD set is $26.99 at Amazon right now. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00S89IJX0
According to the Amazon price tracker I use it's the lowest it's ever been so I finally pulled the trigger. It's not HD blu-ray but I doubt this series will ever get that kind of remastering treatment let alone a release on physical media. I've been contemplating this purchase for a while since nostalgically it's my favorite TV series from childhood. I haven't watched it in a long time so it'll be fun revisiting every episode from the beginning!
I just finished Maureen's book a few days ago and was very surprised at very little Brady Bunch material. Brady, Brady, Brady is on my books to read list though.
Nice, that's the one I have. I never bought the revised issue. I inquired about it one time about 15 years ago on Barry's website and he actually e-mailed me back telling me the differences but I never ending up buying it. Still have the original version and pull it out every few years and give it a read. I bought it the day it was originally released and finished it in one day. A very easy read.
I have the original, not the newer, revised edition. While this book does cover Barry Williams before he joined the Brady show, the bulk of this book is about the Brady years. Barry Williams came off as a good natured guy who seemed to enjoy his time on the show compared to David Cassidy who came across as somewhat bitter about his Partridge Family days (in his book C'mon Get Happy which I purchased around the same time). Growing Up Brady is a good read and lots of fun. Any Brady Bunch fan should have this book. Scott

Just letting everyone know that 13 Nights Of Halloween starts tomorrow on Freeform and my favorite movie with The Brady Bunch theme song snippet (the version with the kids singing) happens to be on. Addams Family Values! I just love that scene with all of the little songs so much (Annie, Sound Of Music, etc.)
I don’t want to reveal any spoilers for those who haven’t read the books yet, but they were both great reads.
