What do you guys think is the most divers 12 inch from the 80's Extended versions which features all kinds of random things. One of my favourites which does just that is ABC's The Night You Murdered Love (The Whole Story). Which others does the same thing?
Tough one Dave for the 80's Maybe Falco's-Jeanny (Extended Version) Jerry Harrison's-Man With A Gun, 1988 -Diverse/unique that it includes Chris Spedding on guitar
Yes, Jeanny by Falco is a good choice. I like The Young Persons Guide To The 12 Inch for Rage Hard by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. A smooth woman's voice tells us the secret on how to create a 12 inch by introducing all kinds of elements. To my opinion one of the best 12 inches of the 80's.
This Martini Ranch "Hot Dog" remix always had a kind of everything but the kitchen sink quality to it. Features Cindy Wilson of the B-52's.
And another one i haven't checked out yet. As i am still adding tracks to my ever growing 12 inches collection it is great that people keep suggesting 12 inches which is great. Thanks for that. I will check out the one posted above.
One I've been playing on YouTube recently is European Son by Japan, the Steve Nye 12" remix version. I remember it from my Saturday nights out back in those days and I would like to get it on CD but it's unavailable.
I don't have it, but I believe it can be had here- It could be on some odd-ball 12 inch comp as well. Japan - The Singles
Prices seem to be all over the place on 12" singles. Saw a Michael Jackson Bad 12" single for $13 & a Whitney Houston for $3. I've even seen a Whitney Houston promo 12" for 50 cents. Most of the 12" singles I see are $3-$6. Darryl
The Associates - Party Fears Two (extended 12"). The extended video doesn't play everywhere, so I'll include the music video that surfaced in 2016, with the added bonus of the lovely Martha Ladly on piano. Extremely wonderful. Awake me
The 8:05 "long version" of Blondie's "Call Me" features an extra verse with different lyrics, a breakdown with some cooing from Debbie, and extended guitar jamming. It was released as a 12" in addition to being on the American Gigolo soundtrack and the 2001 CD reissue of Autoamerican.
Climie Fisher-Love Changes (Everything), 1987-88 (Special Extended Mix) Bob Kraushaar. There are I think three main mixes for this song, the other one is the Love Mix and a Dance Mix
