That seems like a huge reveal to give away in a trailer. Which, to me, says he doesn't do it. And as much as that will probably be a momentary relief in the theater, we all know her fate eventually. It (probably) just won't happen in this movie.

FYI, screw the porgs. I want me a damn Ice Fox!

Do you follow Hamill on Twitter? If you read between the lines, he is bashing the movie. And rightfully so. I think there is another thread of whether you are a Optimist or Pessimist, I am definitely pessimistic about this movie. Especially when I think it is going to be Empire Part 2.

I've got a really bad feeling about this.

I'll have whatever you are smoking! I must have watched a different set of movies than you did.

    For a screener? Me either.

We've only truly seen the formidable fighter that Darth Vader was always meant to be in Rogue One. I have the impression that this film will be Luke's chance to shine as a fighter.

He should have added a drum solo by Art Blakey.

Rather a "bored" meeting. On a Friday. At 4:59PM. Before a 3-day weekend.

I hope you are right. But if there were a line in Vegas, I'd take the under.

I don't understand what he thought was so spoiler-y about the trailer. Much like the TFA trailers, this showed you just enough to get you hyped without showing you the entire movie, like most modern blockbusters.

Maybe because he feels that it doesn't represent the film well...or is purposely misleading.

I have tickets for 4 showings during opening night/weekend. You should spend a few hours in a theater, one day. It’s fantastic.

Episode ones trailer was way better than the movie. I hope the new movie is way better than the trailer.

I don't care for the First Order Band-Aid (soon to be in an aisle near you!).

Snoke looks like back in the day, he might have been kinda handsome.

Who is Luke talking about when he says he's seen power like this only once before? Is he talking about Kylo? Or Vader? Or...?

I have seen 2.5 OT movies, 0.5 of a kids movie with eokws, all 3 sh***y SE movies, 4 dumpster fires and Rogue One ALL in the theater.

Now, I want to see it before I go. It was bad enough with Crazy George and his prequels & midichlorians. Now I have to deal with the Mouse, JJ Abrams times 2, and Rian Johnson. PASS!!!

I'll see this movie in the theater. But the mouse will not get my cash money.

Looks fine to me. These movies are all going to start blending into each other due to the sheer number of them. Anything would be better than Rogue One.

Its a mis-direct surely..? No way they would give away that big a plot point in a Star Wars trailer that usually gives nothing of the plot away in them.

I'll have to watch the trailer again, but if 'tweren't for Vader's intrusion, the Emperor would've killed Luke in ROTJ. So, that could be the reference.

"It didn't scare me enough then. It does now."
I think Luke was plenty-enough scared by Vader and the Emperor, so I can only imagine he's referring to a young Kylo. I think all the reluctance and hesitation we're seeing in Luke has to do with his overwhelming feeling of guilt over not being able to sense/control the darkness in his own nephew. I imagine that will only be exacerbated when Rey reveals that he also killed Han.

Honestly I like the idea that they're (presumably) portraying Luke as a damaged soul. He surely carries around a lot of guilt, after not being able to save his aunt and uncle, his mentor, then his father, now his nephew and his best friend. I can't imagine what losing his sister will do to him next.
