Just think, the original broadcasts have probably now passed through the large Magellanic Cloud and may be recived by a civilization in Andromeda IX. Perhaps all their computing prowess has been redirected to 'interpreting' Mr. Kimball's message. "The eathlings speak in riddles!"

Cool... I can see a price war between Walmart and Amazon...bottoming out at $9.99.
It's great! the bargains have been flowing between the 2 retailers...they must be computer price linked.

I was in Walmart last night and found "Green Acres-The Complete Series" for $69.96 (plus tax of course).

I haven't checked if it's available on their website for that price, but as mentioned, I found it in store...

Just thought people might be interested...

Yes, I am just going to wait it out. As much as I'd like to have the set now, I have to believe it will drop to the $50 or below mark after a while. If I didn't already have the previously released seasons on dvd, I wouldn't have minded the $80 prerelease price on Amazon.

This is on my Christmas list so I am telling my wife to check out Walmart now at this price if she gets it for me.

That makes more sense. In any day and age, to have 100 copies of this set in store would be crazy!

me too...have the first three seasons since they were released unfortunately they are double sided crap...so, at $50.00 I'd jump at it.

I bought it last night. The first three seasons are identical to the ones released by MGM. They still have the logo before and after the episodes. The last three seasons don't. Picture quality is the same, with print damage evident from time to time on all shows. Running time is complete on all 6 seasons. Some nice extras on the last disc. A half hour mini documentary from a TV historian, a vintage promo spot in character from Albert and Gabor, and a very interesting clip from the Merv Griffin Show. The best part for me is at the end where Albert defends the show against a TV critic.

so they utilized the existing masters for first three seasons...I guess that's the cheapest way out...

I'm glad you were able to find it for the price I mentioned: I didn't want people to think I was making things up :)

That's typically what Shout! has done when they've acquired previously released shows.
