Saw this on another forum, did a search here and didn't see it posted here yet:

For those who are not on Facebook, it's a public post by John Davis on his timeline: a live concert photo of Led Zeppelin, and he's written the caption: "Today I am mostly mastering Led Zeppelin."

What is that guy in the crowd holding up, in the concert picture on John's Facebook? It's long and skinny, seems the wrong dimensions for a camera -- is the dude hoisting a whiskey bottle at Jimmy? Must have been a heck of a solo....

Based on what's left in the archives, I'm betting it's the long-rumored Earl's Court shows being mixed and mastered... could be wrong, of course, but what else is there?

Probably re-re-remastering the Mothership for vinyl.

Celebration Day was/is already released on vinyl... if this is the 1976 mix of TSRTS being given a 24/96 remastering, I'll be a happy camper, but I doubt it...

Knebworth is still out there. So is the Southampton University concert from 1973 which was being considered for release when “How The West Was One” made the final cut.

The photo is from 1973 if there is any meaning to it. I would be surprised if it’s not “The Song Remains The Same”.

I bet it's going to be some "unreleased live material."

    Earl's Court Complete 1975?
    Knebworth 1979?
    Seattle '77?

Hopefully, it's live material recorded between 1968 and 1975!

Something New? Too bad Dave Dexter Jr. isn't around to add reverb & fake stereo, and to delete a few songs from the UK version!

The Southampton show was originally multitracked back in the day, and only professionally mixed to fly in the keyboards for Stairway on HTWWW. It's one of the rougher (not in a good way) shows from that tour.

    Osaka would be nice!

Maybe they are realising that every vinyl reissue sounded crap (digitally remastered by Jimmy Page) and realised that analog is the way to go, WISHFUL THINKING!

Haven't bought a lot of the remasters but I would be tempted to buy The Song Remains The Same.

I hope it's unreleased live material, preferably a full concert. So exciting!
