I love it too. It has some adolescent humor, but it's generally brilliant. Good characters (they are unlikeable, but there are enough serious moments to make them relatable), great actors, funny situations, and cinematic production values.

I hope they manage to bring back Dr. Brown (she was only briefly in the season premier). But, the story might not need her anymore. Where she was the foil for the 2 Vice Principals in Season 1, now the entire faculty are their nemeses (is that the plural form?).

That last episode was dark. Lee's life is truly in the crapper now.

Dark as the Cleveland steamer Lee's wife left on their portrait!

  5. A very dark last two episodes. If Goggins doesn't get an Emmy for his performances there is no justice!

It's difficult to feel empathy for Lee given some of the things he's done, but it felt good to see Neil do the right thing and help him out. I think we also need to recognize what a great job Edi Patterson (Abbott) is doing-she really makes the most of what is a pretty pathetic character. I definitely see a boiled bunny in Neil's future.

She's fantastic. I posted about how much I like her on the prior page.

Oh, Ms. Abbott, how I love her! She had some funny lines in last nights episode.

"Remember when you tried to pull out, and I leg-locked you? You sneezed inside me. I'm pregnant.'"
"Oooh, she's cocksure, like her father!"
"I hope that bruised your tit, cause you bruised my heart!"

I also like her aggressively out of style fashion. Who wears a frosted denim mini-dress in 2017? Ms. Abbott, that's who!

    Just two episodes left.

    Wish there were 200 more.

So who do we think is the killer? Lee's wife?

Never even watched Eastbound and Down. Binged on it a few weeks ago. Superb!

Sorry. I should probably take some time and look two posts up! Here's a Lee gem: "We are a car full of teenage girls. It's going to get disgusting". Lee was pretty lecherous in this episode. Can't believe it's ending so quickly.

No need to be sorry, I was just glad to see someone found it as funny as me. This show has a wonderfully odd sense of humor!

Yeah, I am sure going to miss it!

  19. Ms Abbot is my guess for the shooter. I think she planted the mask and gun in Lee's car trunk.

If you are right, it sure opens them up to do another season.

It was a great episode, up to the final seconds, where I was frozen with nervousness, hoping nothing else bad would happen.

Can't wait to watch the entire series again.

That was a good guess when you made it, and after the end of this last episode, I'd say its looking even better. Makes perfect sense for her character that she would think by keeping Gamby from becoming principal, he'd settle for her over Ms. Snodgrass. Then when she got Neil as her man, she wanted to do things to get rid of Lee and move her man up the ladder.

I love Gamby's "Wild Wild West" gun contraption. It's so unnecessary.
It's so obvious that Abbott did this that I don't think she did it. How about Ray? Gamby was extremely dismissive of Ray for a long time, and he's almost too nice to him in return. Or maybe Christine-trying to help her husband become principal.
That was a pretty epic fight scene, almost comically so-but it was so well shot. This show has deceptively great cinematography. This eppy was directed by McBride.
Just so everyone knows-the next one is the last one forever. The show was shot all at once and meant to be spread over two 9 episode seasons.
