Woah. great price. Care to share the retailer?

Meanwhile, I passed on this and bought the McCartney color vinyl bundle.

This means, the color vinyl bundle will soon be worth less than what I paid.

    Happens every time. :)

I’ll just say they are a (rocking) west coast record store for now; they also sell Beatles memorabilia. I had seen it on their website several times and thought it was the $65 version marked up. The other day I looked at the hype sticker and saw what it was. I couldn’t believe it! This had to have been $1k, and not $100. And, to think for one on Discogs!

Thankfully I managed to get one of the super deluxe acrylic Tug Of War sets first time around. Mine is no longer sealed though!

That's what it should have cost in the first place!

I’ve never heard of Good Offer Store, it seems to be linked to Universal?

Same here. In this case they live up to their name!

Well it’s showing £59.99 for those two albums, and £8 for Ram vinyl (sold out). Will have to keep an eye on them in future.

Never heard of it, either. Must be their version of Pop Market?

Just heard the Archive edition of Pipes. I hadn't listened to the album in years, remembered it as pretty mediocre. Well, reevaluation time! Today I have enjoyed it more, actually I found it to be a good (not great) album. It has two stinkers (Average Person and Tug of Peace), and the useless Hey Hey, but the rest is very enjoyable.

    Very good remastering too.

Haven't given Pipes a listen in awhile, but I kinda like Average Person. Not too fond of The Man though.

No problem, we like what we like. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind about The Man someday. Right now, on it's own, don't really care for it. Now, whenever I decide to take the time to give the album another go, I might decide I like it in context with the other songs.

Hey we are usually together on everything, but I like but don't love both songs.

Remember when "Average Person" was supposed to segue in from "Tug Of War"? I read that either somewhere here or in Part 1 of this thread that that was supposed to be a sequence in the tracklist very early on.

Yes, you can hear the orchestra playing the "Ni Ni Ni, Ni Ni Ni Ni" melody from Average Person at the very end of the Tug of War track. It's played in such a different style that it's easy to miss (I certainly missed it for 30+ years), but once you notice it, you never hear it the same way again.

That's right. I picked up the guitar solo on Sweetest Little Show sounding similar to the "how would we know your whereabouts" line from Someone Who Cares, but it wasn't until this thread that I noticed the link between Average Person and Tug Of War. Definitely loving how much POP is referencing TOW and not just by the naming conventions.
