Can ELO really fill some of these arenas? Seems a bit enthusiastic.

I agree. They sold out 2 nights at Radio City last year, so that is a total of about 12,000 tickets, still well short of selling out MSG, and once might have been enough for many of those people. I know I had no problem paying $85 for Radio City but that same $85 at MSG won't be worth it being farther away.

    Rosemont, IL? I presume that's a Chicago suburb ...?

Definitely going to one of these shows! But I sure as hell ain't buyin tickets anytime soon.

Tours can still make a ****load of money without any sell-outs. Jeff Lynne and Live Nation know what they're doing. But there's no chance the patient and frugal concert-goer will have trouble finding an awesome seat at an awesome price two days before most of these shows.

cosmicdancer Doin' it to you in 3D! So Groovy that I dig me.

I wish there were some Southeast dates. I'd totally be there.

I missed Wembley but got to Hyde Park and then Birmingham a couple of years ago and had a great time both times. I'm not sure I can afford to go next year but hopefully I can luck out on another show - maybe London, or Stockholm (I have friends near there) or if I'm feeling particularly flush Amsterdam.

I'm so pleased to see Jeff on a roll again after all those years when he was high on a hill in Eldorado. I had the tease of the Zoom tour and then the huge disappointment when it failed to happen but when he hit the stage at Hyde Park a dream came true for me. The Time tour was the first live show I ever saw as a young 'un and after all those years of dreaming about seeing Jeff/ELO live again it was a moment, and a show, that I'll never forget. It's really been lovely seeing him back out there and seeing for himself how loved his music still is, his response to that warmth has been really satisfying, he looks like he really appreciates it and never expected it. I'm enjoying seeing this all play out and hope that 2018 is another good year for yer man Jeff, I think he really deserves all the late appreciation he's receiving.

I bet they'll sell out the Forum in LA. They did very well three nights at the Hollywood Bowl. I was at one of them and it was unexpectedly one of the most exhilarating shows I've ever attended. I'm in for another round.

Well I went to one of the Radio City shows and won't be doing MSG next year. Let's just say I wasn't thrilled with the concert.

I'm surprised at the size of the venues too. Ticket prices will be the key. Have on-sale dates been announced?

Looks like the tickets prices are $60-180 for NYC and LA.
    $50-150 for other US cities.

Ginormo domes where the music just doesn't stand a chance of being heard. I'll be taking a pass. Rush R40 is likely the last time I'll even attempt that sort of folly.

Why not? I'm thinking about getting tickets for one of the Texas shows but would appreciate feedback both pro and con before I spend the $$.

How are they live volume-wise? Deafening? Or decent?

Musically, the show was wonderful. I guess that should be all that matters. But for me the concert experience isn't just a band cranking out the hits, it's how the artist interacts with the audience, etc. I was disappointed that Jeff was just like a cardboard cutout, standing there and not saying much, there was almost no banter. And I am not expecting Jeff Lynne to be like Bruce Dickinson running all over the place but just be a little more engaging. Now don't let my one experience influence you to not see the show, if you're an ELO fan and want to hear the hits faithfully performed, then by all means go!
