Thanks. I was close to both my folks, so it's nice to have something of their's hanging around my favorite hobby. The quilt is below prints that my Dad picked up on his business trips to India. And it is a little reminder that there are better things to do than watch TV!

I have a Thorens 160 Super and thinking of doing all vintage 2 channel with this just not sure what to do for speakers. I have been thinking about Heresy, I like the looks of the older Klipsch but, people are scaring me with them saying their bright. I haven't heard horned speakers and options to demo equipment especially vintage is rather hard these days. I may start a thread asking for suggestions. Thanks for your impressions.

I think the first thing is how big your room is. Being mine is in the basement IMO helps a lot. It is 13' x 17' and I have two couches with the one I sit in has a nice back that acts as damping. Last night I played a couple jazz albums at low level and they still sounded as nice as they did up loud for the ZZ. If you can find someone who has some give them a try, I love mine. I read here that these speakers along with other Klipsch and my 500c would work very well together.

Found this Are Klipsch speakers really that bright?

    Room is coming along slowly.
Lots of delays on the door. I' still waiting on the automatic door seal.
New layer or drywall is done with green glue and acoustic sealant.
Sound proof astrigles installed on the doors.

    Hahaha
No, actually that it's the biggest piece of Schiit. It won't even tune. I only have it because my dad gave it to me.
This summer, the guitarist for Son Volt was at my house. He picked it up and strummed it a few times and tried to tune it. He finally gave up. I was so embarrassed. I used to have some decent guitars. Of all times not to have one....

What is it? Not a Martin, I presume?

The tuning issue is easy enough to fix with a set of replacements.

Actually my dad ordered it off the TV for around $100. It'd not worth even messing with.

Those Esteban guitars are crappier than the old Sears "SR" guitars.

Sounds real man, fifteen watts will part your hair (if you unlike me have hair). Dynamic, loud, live, big and bold... Fun. My listening room is 30 x 15 x 8... I would not go back

I've got an AT120 that I linked up to some modestly priced vintage gear. I am happy as well.

    Rock on!:edthumbs:
