Mine too! My favorite guests on Bing's show are Jimmy Stewart and Judy Garland and we get both of them in the coming weeks!

Bing and Burl Ives this week! Burl Ives is probably best knows to modern audiences as the snowman from the 1960s Rudolph television special.

Wow! Bing, Louie, and Ella from exactly 65 years ago today!

"Finally, a fit ending to this showcase of two unique singers is a real happening in the studio with the tune, “A Kiss To Build A Dream On”, intended to be sung as a solo by Bing. Louis had sung it in the MGM film, ‘The Strip’, the previous year and had recorded a single of it for Decca. As Bing is introducing the number, he suddenly invites Louis to sing the second chorus. This comes as a genuine surprise to Louis, a fact he confirmed, years later, in an interview. The result is a challenge to the professional experience of both performers and a tribute to their abilities. It is a unique document and a musical summation of the team of Mr.Cros & Mr. Satch”

Also thank Bing Crosby backing Jack Mullin and Alexander M. Poniatoff for their advancement of the recording industry and their launching tape machines in broadcasting and in the studios, a major innovation.

It's been awhile, but it's 40 years since Bing's passing today, so we bring you two glorious shows with Bing from 70 years ago this week! It's marvelous to hear Bing, Oscar Levant, and Al Jolson sing an extended medley tribute to George Gershwin on Al's show. Bing's version of "Almost Like Being In Love," is absolutely classic and a complete showstopper in our first show tonight!
