Looks like they pushed the limited copies for the S&G to 7,000 as well.

I'll take the worst pre-half of the band splitting to form Foghat era Savoy Brown over the best of Steve R. Vaughn's hella-hokey sterile 80s techno-blues schlock any day.

Chad and his fascination with Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Geesh, I like me some SRV from time to time but a 45 box set, 33 box set, digital set and then releasing them individually again wasnt enough?

Not to mention the fact that mfsl has already done these. AND the originals sound pretty damn good anyway. Including the cds.

WTF is wrong with these boneheads?

AP has already done these, and at 45rpm. I'll be passing on it as I have the AP 45 release of it.

The Evans Portrait In Jazz? I have a test pressing of the AP, but given how much I like what they did with SATVV, I might spring for that one.

I for one look at the SRV release as something along the lines of the Nightfly. People think it won't improve that much and will be a lateral move at best but as we all know it turned out to be the definative version of TF. People have faith!

Until they come out with the Zero Step. You simply buy a ticket and can listen to the master tapes.

I won't be surprised if it's an improvement. It's just that I do have the AP, only released last year as a single album 45rpm release. And it's really good, but not essential (personal opinion), so that the already stellar 45rpm from Analogue Productions is fine.

BTW a super LP to do a one step on would be Tears for Fears - The Seeds of Love ;-) It would have the potential of sounding really spectacular I think.

We do not all know that. :) I heard it as a sideways move, and am actually going to sell mine. I realize that's the minority opinion here.

Very disappointed in the open trashing of an artist that many hold dear...not cool at all!!!:waiting:
Having said that, SRV has been done multiple times of late, and it opens up a direct comparison to the AP 45 release.
It seems to me that MoFi is making some odd choices for this series with TN being the oddest.
Then there is the question of what gen tapes are now available for Bridge. And bumping to 7500 copies?
And then to duplicate artists in the jazz genre....
I may just save my funds for the UHQR series, I just hope they are not 1/2 speed!

Who is trashing the artist? You mean if someone isn't your favorite of all time, that equates to trashing?

Just lookin' for a debate are we? Where did your come up with that comment? Perhaps you have not read the comments I have?
Many artists mentioned here that I do not care for, only comment I have made is that I will pass on that release.
We all have different tastes in music, I find it best not to make negative comments.
Now, is this where you tell me that I can just ignore them or this thread?
    Rock on!

You: "Very disappointing in the open trashing of an artist..."

Did I misinterpret that? If I did, I apologize.

Well, you misquoted it. Instead of putting quotation marks around words that you typed out, use the reply or quote function...

As for the open trashing of SRV:
Emphasis added because I thought it was funny.
Then there was the vomiting emoji posted by someone else.
A few people here really don't like Stevie Ray Vaughan. So what. Some people love him. Who really cares? The only bothersome thing here, is the dumb, pedantic personal back and forth bickering. I'll be thankful when it stops. :)

No misquote, my issue was with this comment ...

You mean if someone isn't your favorite of all time, that equates to trashing?
    .

And now I drop this issue!

You are right the AP is very fine, but I can't resist. As you know, these MOFI one steps take 6-8 months between titles. Plenty of time to save up.

I understand where you are come by from, though.
