Yeah, they do. But what is the definition of a god anyway? It's not exact. Why is Hela "Goddess of Death"? Does she have some special responsibility like gathering souls for some underworld? Or is it just a nickname, like something a wrestler would have.

There didn't seem to be anything more to it than "I kill a lot of people."

I guess if people call you the God of Thunder long enough, you're the God of Thunder.

You are right, the only way into Asgard is via the Bifrost. However in the films spaceships do attack it, by taking control of the Bifrost somehow, it's not clear.

So logically if spaceships can enter somehow then they can leave. So, cough, someone could have opened the Bifrost to allow the ship to leave (Heimdall?).

Thor should have remained a god. Why would they not remain gods like they were in the comic book for years and years? Sounds like someone is copping out. As I recall, Balder and the Warriors Three (and Sif) never had any trouble winding up on earth whenever the story required it and didn't need no stinkin' spaceships.

There's only one god ma'am and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that.

That makes sense. He still had the sword to operate it. Maybe as Hela was busy attacking Sirtof(?), he opened the Bifrost to give the ship access to outside of Asgard where they could then fly to Earth.

Even by superhero standards, Thor and his world are pretty outlandish. I imagine Marvel thought it would be easier for the mainstream movie audience to buy into it if they were aliens rather than gods... though the world has embraced the Marvel universe so eagerly they probably didn’t need to worry about it.

I'd like to see a proper Tales of Asgard movie, preferably without the obligatory 20 minutes of thousands of little CGI figures beating seven bells out of each other at the end.

Good point. Maybe Dr. Strange will help them return to our dimension? He might even conure up a new hammer for him (unless the spirit of Odin takes care of that.

I concur... there's something to be said for it.... It's not "Deadpool"- 'comedy'. It's "LEGO Batman"- silly!

Going back to see it on Thanksgiving.

First film I’ve seen twice in the theatre since... Spider-Man Homecoming.

Saw it with my daughter last night. She liked it (she’s 11). I thought it was just ok, but overall it just had too much silly, slapstick, stuff going on for me. I give it a 7.

Saw it a couple weeks ago not really liking the other two Thor flicks. Thought Ragnarok was really fun and well worth seeing. Doesn't Cate Blanchett do a great job as a baddie? She was probably my favorite part of the movie.

    The 3-D wasn't a marvel.
    Maybe I'm 3-D'd out.

My son and I wanted to see it in Imax, but it was only showing in 3D Imax, so we passed and saw it in a normal 2d theater. That is how much we dislike 3D.

    I don't dislike 3D, but would have a prefered a pop-out eye goggling feast.
Should look stunning in 2D oled 4K.
