The best part about it was I ended up getting free shipping!

 

I survived the Import CDs 10% off sale unscathed but not this one.

I have 12 discs left to complete my Blue Note SACD set, 8 were in this sale so they're a not brainer.
also b=grabbed Ellington's Blues In Orbit, RLJ's Traffic In Paradise and Eddie Money.
Just can't afford to dip into the Impulse and Verve SACDs at this time.
Ok, so it will cost $20.87 for shipping. I can live with $1.89 a disc at these prices

 

How did you manage that, the sale says no free shipping on the 50% titles

 

Those AP 45 rpm titles are very tempting!

 

I have no idea. The only thing I think it could be was I had stuff in my cart before I put in the 50% iteams. This totaled over $89 so it showed free shipping. I took the iteams out and it still showed free shipping.

 

Bingo, this did it. Added the mono vinyl Bob Dylan box set as a test, then took it out, and the free shipping stayed the same.

 

Shhh let's try to keep this a secret!

I'm finally going to get the Julie London SACDs. Some things just never seem to go on sale, so it was nice to find these at half-off.

I got some other stuff, too, and qualified for free shipping even though it was all half-off or nearly half-off. I did meet their $89 threshold for free shipping and everything I ordered is in stock, so maybe that's why?

Anyone have any thoughts on the Beach Boy titles that are on sale... If there's a choice between stereo and mono is there a consensus on which to get?

Yes the 50% SACD's don't qualify, but if your order $89 worth of other stuff it should work....maybe?

 

Get all. You'll never see this price again. They are all fantastic.

 

Ordered nine. Could have done double or triple that easily.

 

I couldn't get this trick to work. Got stuck paying $16 shipping.

 

Beware of the free shipping rig as they will end up cancelling your order and then many titles will be already sold out when you try to reorder. I have seen them do this before..

 

Which has me leaning towards standing pat. Though I'm tempted to cancel my existing order and place a duplicate one, it doesn't feel quite right considering the rules clearly say these titles aren't eligible.
But I don't begrudge those who utilized the loophole

 

I have all the AP 45 rpm and Beach Boys 200 gram in my cart. Just need to get up the nerve to pull the trigger. I am sure the AP Blue Notes will be great and have read that The Beach Boys areexcellent. Great sale.
