No buy of Hendrix SACDs for me. Have purchased these titles way to many times over the years. I don't care what format there on, no more for me. I'll save the money for other music I don't have.

The same purpose as ripping non-SACDs. Honestly for me, physical media serve no purpose for me anymore; I have zero emotional attachment to digital discs. As soon as I get a disc, I rip it to my server in it's native format and then it - like everything else - is available at the touch of a remote. The disc is probably not touched again.

My Oppo rarely gets used anymore. An organized media collection is a beautiful thing.

Wouldn't "milking the money out of the cow" mean releasing Atom Heart Mother? ;)

You might have to stick with a questionable download if you want the mono "Are You Experienced?" because the tape they have been using is an extremely poor dub. I guess we'll find out.

Again, the opposite reaction from me. Spend $500.00, only to have it become a door stop ? No.

2012-2013 - at least I left the house, to go to work. Since retiring, it's everyday, approx. 12 hours a day.

Even if we all get on here and rave about how amaze balls they sound?

Point is I rarely use it. Kodi for movies, jRiver/Musicbee for Tunes. I still have racks and racks of dusty media which I can't sell because of my crazy collector mentality. Thanks for pointing out my typo.

How does that work? A link would be cool, if it’s a whole thing.

  17. Got my mono and stereo preordered!! Pretty stoked. Clear vinyl. 200 Grams. Super packaging, of course.

Alright dammit. I am 215$ lighter. For the record, I did not spend that much on two records.

I spent that money on not having to freaking think/worry about this for the next 6-12 months.

    Yes, yes, Yes!!!

Looks like I'm going to break a vow as I swore never to order overseas again due to the various charges. I've been patiently awaiting an upgrade on my '97 EH discs and so here's to 2018. Will throw in the Floyd discs too since I no longer have the 30th anniversary SACD.

No, because the first thing anyone that spends too much $$$ is going to do, is defend their choice. A person could be sitting there realizing they hear absolutely no difference from the other 672 copies they have, but publicly will say how "amazing, and detailed it is."
    No.
