Probably because you Brits don't know how to spell "color" correctly. Easy to find.

Perhaps the lesson learned here is to just buy stuff at the shop?

IF you have a shop. That's the problem for many.

Of course, but just looking at people's locations, that's clearly not the case for everyone.

(Also, it's a chicken / egg thing, I know, but part of the reason there aren't more shops is because of the Internet, so on and so forth, etc, etc, etc.)

Damn, that means I'll have to complain about the sticker on Venus and Mars being the wrong colour now! :)

Not worth arguing about, but they meant for it to be yellow in my opinion, not green

Very happy with the rest. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one with a green Ram.

Now, to my ageing eyes RAM should have been a slightly lighter version of SOS's orange.

If your RAM is green you might want to call a vet. o_O

Venus and Mars seems to also be one of the more popular titles in this reissue series, most likely due to the two-colored vinyl. (Well, and it's a fine album too.) So I would suggest getting one of those while you have the chance.

  12. A different color of vinyl is not sloppy quality control. Just like when you pick paint for your home, choosing the color of vinyl is a decision by whomever is at the pressing plant. It is similar to printing four-color on press. On a big project like this, there would be a representative from the client, MPL (doubtful) or Capitol/Universal. It is like a press check and a decision was made on the exact color. It is more of a chartreuse which is a mix of yellow and green and contrasts the label which IS yellow.

    * And note that if you check out the color strip that says LIMITED EDITION YELLOW VINYL, the record is pretty much the exact same color as that bar behind that type. So it seems that's the color match. Not accidental.

I’m looking at all these colorful records beautiful vinyl.
But how do they sound compared to the best black versions.
Oh I got it there just to look at.

I actually like the shade of yellow-green selected for Ram. I'm glad it's not just a copy of the same shade of yellow used for Venus and Mars.

I prefer to think of it as a "pastoral green." Ideal for sheep grazing.

I don't have the black vinyl versions from the Archive 2LP series or the single LP Capitol reissues, but I have no complaints with the sound quality (and pressing quality) on the four LPs I've played so far. Mine have been very quiet, with excellent sound. If there has been any quality degradation due to using color vinyl instead of black vinyl, I can't imagine it has been much.

These are definitely suitable for playing, not just for looking at!

But are they suitable for framing?:

  18. The sound is exactly like the last Archive releases. Color doesn't change sound. Only Picture discs would have substandard sound .

I really love this one. The blue on Tug of War is probably my second favorite. I’m very pleased with the quality on all of them.

Very literally one of my favorite colors, on one of my favorite records.

I need this. Even if I don’t get any of the others, I need this.
