This will probably only mean something if you grew up in the New York City area in the 70s-early 80s.
Last year I hired Carole and Paula from The Magic Garden to play my wife's 50th birthday party in our home.
For those of you not from the NYC area, The Magic Garden was a very popular children's TV show that ran from 1972-1984.
Carole Demas also originated the role of Sandy in Grease on Broadway in 1972.

Very cool! I remember purchasing this and hoping I was one of the lucky ones that had the signed poster enclosed.

but cut it from a magazine and have had it for years .. thought others would enjoy it too!

    Gregg Allman Band
    City Winery, NYC
    Nov 5, 2015

I don't have this, but it was sent to me and a friend just before the show started by a stagehand my friend knew. "GA Break" is where Gregg takes a break while the band plays an instrumental. As hot as the band was, I had to go bad, so I headed downstairs to the men's room. As I'm walking in, I come face t face with Allman coming out. After the show, my friend hits the men's room....and also runs into Allman.

They still occasionally perform live together. We just saw Carole & Paula (and Sherlock) do a 45th anniversary show in October.

    John Hammond - 2008
My band's singer and my then-girlfriend opened for him twice.
John Lee Hooker, Duane Allman, Robbie Robertson, Mike Bloomfield and others played on his albums. For five days, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton were in his band at the same time.
His dad, also john Hammond, signed Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Benny Goodman, Aretha Franklin, Count Basie, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Leonard Cohen and many others.

I remember getting a call from a college buddy when Valotte was first being played on the radio - that was a truly disconcerting moment. It's too bad that Julian's subsequent career never fulfilled the promise of that first album, IMO.

I rather enjoyed "Photograph Smile" completely.
I do hope Julian returns to active musicianship, however if his photography is
seemingly more personally gratifying so be it. Go Julian!
