Great! Took me a while to finish the room with 6 dedicated lines, wood panelling on the walls and acoustic cealing.

The speakers, the TT, the phonostage and the amp are Aleks Audio, based here in Moscow. I asked them to tweak their stock 18 inch woofer Almansa model with vintage JBL woofer. They also took long measurements to perfectly adapt the crossover to the AFC of my room.

Here is their stock model with their own russian made woofer. It goes real deep (18 or 20 Hz I think) but the bass is a bit too modern for my taste if you know what I mean. I wanted a softer more vintage bass hence the JBL.

Yeah, that's unique and it truly works. The room is treated real nice but with the stock version the bass was a bit boomy when it was adjusted to the room it became tight as hell. Over the last several years I owned JBL 250Ti and 4345, B&W 802D and 800Diamond, Tannoy Kingdom 15 and Super Red Monitor 15 and Electrovoice Georgian II and Aleks speakers outperform each and every one of them. I still keep Tannoy Super Red Monitors for the living room for movies and TV. Great speakers but head to head they don't stand a chance with Aleks.

Thanx! I particularly love the look of their new TT - currently using the Ortofon 2M Black cart.

Yes, I decided to design the whole thing myself out of white artificially aged oak. It was used for both LP cabinets (4 of them - 2 for each wall), 2 small CD/DVD cabinets as well as the audio stand itself. The handmade oak audio stand (2 shelves) also has a set of Soundcare Superspikes underneath it and frankly works just as good as megabuck Hi End audio stands that I used before.

    Really nice setup Anton.

What is that sitting on top of each speaker? It almost looks like a super tweeter or something.

Looks great Anton. Speakers look a lot like Tannoys.

It is a super tweeter, it works great and if the record is a bit too bright I can always turn it down to 50% or off completely.

Yes, the design style is a bit similar. The rest of their line however looks a bit different, though it all uses american walnut

It does. I need to choose the power cords yet. Aleks Audio also produce cables but I didn't like them as much as my old McIntosh cables so I decided to use them for the whole system. Now I need to find the right power cords for the phono stage and power amp and for some reason I found that even with the TT the power cord also makes a difference.

Your setup looks so nice. I agree with the statement above, the speakers do remind me of tannoys, and also of line magnetic. Like a blend. However seeing your photo of their entire line, your particular model looks like that, the others, not as much. It is my opinion that Russians are usually very good at whatever they do lol. I've got a dog from Russia. Imported straight from Moscow in fact, from a woman by the name of Elena Kozhevnikova, a highly respected breeder internationally.

    Anyway.

Tell us some more about the amplifier ? And what efficiency are those speakers?
