    I love the other Revolution and On A Saturday, but The Incredible Journey of Timothy Chase is my favorite Tomorrow piece, and Hallucinations isn't too far behind. I even like the silly Good Wizard Meets Naughty Wizard once in awhile. :cool:

    I have both Mad River albums, both are quite good -also their EP from 1967 on CD. I totally agree with your assessment of Forever Changes, that is both my favorite album in general AND my favorite acid album, for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

    The best I could come up with was;
    Psychedelic music:Music for the expanding mind.Chemical and/or Astral.
    Space-Rock:Music for soundtrack of Kubrick's 2001:A Space Oddysey.
    Just a little added humor,somewhat.Peace.

    NGC-4594 was a Connecticut band that released a single in 1967, "Skipping Through the Night/Going Home" and recorded a whole album for Smash records that wasn't released until recently, on CD. I've posted the single on another thread, and here's the whole album:

    Not really... It runs a full range of emotions really, just like an acid trip... Plus it ends on a high/positive note with "You Set The Scene." The whole album ain't "hippy dippy peace and flowers," but this is the kind of psych I find most unique.

    'Elevators - Psychedelic Sounds (I love Easter Everywhere, but the songs for 'Psych Sounds' was recorded in EARLY 1966, so I think it deserves some extra consideration as one of the first purely psychedelic albums.

    Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn has always been one of my desert island albums.. and an honorable shoutout to a band that doesn't get enough love for their fantastic album: Tomorrow's S/T LP (sounds a lot like Syd era Floyd)

    Can anyone recommend a good place to find Conqueroo recordings? I know they were an important band in the Texas scene, but I don't know if I've ever heard them, except maybe something live on a fan comp.

    It's not too apparent in the small picture I posted here, but the words 'Grateful Dead' on the cover are an ambigram that also says 'we ate the acid.' ;)

    Sorry to say that the only two recordings available is "From The Vulcan Gas Co." and the "I Got Time/1 To 3" 45. There was however a release this year by Bob Brown, the rhythm guitarist. Some late '60-early '70s tunes that he recorded after Conqueroo split if you want to check that out. The album is called The Shoe Box Tapes, it's rather good, but nothing like when Charlie goes wild, none of that psychedelic stuff.

    Check out the raga tune, you can almost hear Charlies guitar burning in his solo. Like with Bloomfield, he has that intensity. Just pure energy:

    Please tell me you have some pictures. I can just imagine Charlie walking on with that Clapton inspired perm, with his 330. Or Telecaster. Must have been one of the earliest Texas band to play that west coast inspired psych.
