Maurice Jarre The Main theme is wonderful and magical. And(to me) more classic than any theme John Williams ever wrote. And I do love me some John Williams
The one by Jarre that kills me is the piece for two Spanish guitars he wrote for Mourir à Madrid. It's only four minutes long, but it's so beautiful and sad that I could listen to it over and over again. It's only available in a compilation. This is the EP released back in 1963.
I really wish the original mix could be rereleased. Maybe AF could? Learning what MOFI had done was one of my big musical disappointments.
introduced my 18 year old son to this and the hook was almost instantaneous. Now i hear it playing through the house almost daily.
Not as wonderful as Marquee Moon, but really nice anyway. Sometimes I feel this is an overlooked band.
