Replacement tube for Vincent Pho 700

Looking to replace the stock tube in the Pho 700 phono preamp. Since this is only a $500 pre I can’t see spending hundreds on an exotic tube. Thinking about a Genalex Gold Lion which is readily available for about $40. All thoughts appreciated.......thanks.

 

and to help, this phone preamp uses 1 12AU7 tube.

 

You can get almost any vintage 12AU7 you want on ebay for $40. All will be better then the Russialex Gold Lion.
