You can't swing a dead cat without knocking a few of 'em over here in NYC. Believe me, I've tried.

I'm the feline hater on a block full of cat lovers. They have me surrounded on all four sides  and a cat house down the street. Dead cat swinging would be therapy for me. Even better with some Whipped Cream playing in the background.

    Eric Burdon & The Animals
(not 'The Animals', fronted by EB)

    Edit :

for those who generally (and inaccurately) do not make the distinction, the band billed as
    "The Animals" consisted of :
    (originally)

    Eric Burdon (vocals),
    Alan Price (organ and keyboards),
    Hilton Valentine (guitar),
    John Steel (drums),
    and Bryan "Chas" Chandler (bass)

In May '65 Alan Price left and was replaced by Dave Rowberry ( on organ & keyboards)

February 1966, John Steel left and was replaced by Barry Jenkins.

These were the lineups of the original band The Animals. Following their demise as a group, a new band with Burdon, Jenkins, and new sidemen
    John Weider (guitar/violin/bass),
    Vic Briggs (guitar/piano), and
    Danny McCulloch (bass)
were formed under the name Eric Burdon and The Animals in December 1966.
This band would also see some minor personnel changes: Zoot Money was added in April 1968, first as organist/pianist only, but upon McCulloch's departure he also adopted bass and occasional vocal duties. In July 1968, Andy Summers replaced Briggs.

You've correct of course - an LP is a 10" or 12" vinyl record, an album may contain several discs (records, cassettes, CDs etc). To be sure there are also 10" & 12" singles - these are not albums.

So the OP's asking about many albums, just counting LP records (so no CD, cassettes, 8 tracks etc), multi-LP albums counting as 1.

Same for me also, about 430 albums.

If the consensus is that a 'long-player' can only be made of vinyl (which I do not agree with but am willing to accept)
and no other material / playback process, then duly ignore my previous post. It was swaying on the precipice of tedium anyway.
