Show I was going to see in 13 hours or so was cancelled due to illness. Furtunately he has a few days off to recover before next scheduled show on Sat.

Wow, this album is really, really good. It's miles better than Lighthouse and it may be my favorite after his debut. The first cut is completely Steely Dan.

It’s intermission for tonight’s show. The first half was captivating and extremely enjoyable. The band are superb and the sound is great. It’s been a perfect half-show so far and I expect the second half to be on par.

Glad to hear he's back. Both the Lighthouse and Sky Trails tours have been excellent, in very different ways, as excellent as their respective albums. I guess I need to check out Croz now.

And it's great to see Steve DiStanislao with Gilmour one year and Crosby the next. Nice work if you can get it....

At the Lighthouse tour show last year at Town Hall in NYC, some yob interrupted David, yelling "Almost Cut My Hair!!" DC leaned into the mic, dropped his voice down a tone, and answered "not a chance." That shut him up.

There was audience disturbance at the Sky Trails gig here in Englewood, NJ as well, but I don't really want to go into it.

Saturday’s the last show of the tour I believe. I was also thinking about checking out Croz and the two CPR albums.

The Sky Trails show I saw last month was excellent!

I was thinking the same thing recently about Steve DiStanislao. I saw David Gilmour at MSG in 2016 and then to see Steve at a 600 seat venue is quite a difference. Speaks volumes for his ability and he seems like a cool guy. In the extras of David Gilmour's Remember That Night Blu-ray David mentions how he "borrowed" or "stole" Steve from Crosby and Nash.

David Crosby told the same story last night. He emphasized stolen over borrowed, but, obviously, Steve's playing with both. Great drummer.

  18. Highly recommend that. And much of the final Crosby Nash album (pretty much all the Crosby cuts on it) sound and play like a third CPR project. There's a nice line from CPR all the way through Sky Trails, with Lighthouse being a more acoustic diversion that takes him to some different places. That body of work is the best solo material from any CSNY member, in my opinion, topping even Neil and Stephen's BEST works.

Yes, yes, indeed. The 4 CPR albums, Crosby/Nash, Croz, and Sky Trials are the best solo streak from any of them by a long shot.

My only complain with Lighthouse is how frail his voice sounded on that album. The material also was not bad but not as strong. Yet, live on the tour supporting that album he roared like a lion!

Today 12/8 I was going to see him in Clearwater (for the 3rd time there!) but circumstances dictated otherwise. I hope he sells downloads of some shows like he did for the Croz tour.

I see there's a 2 CD set and a single CD issue of Sky Trails.
What's on the the 2 CD set?
What's the verdict on Sky Trails?

Bought Croz as soon as available and like it very much but Lighthouse
didn't quite do it for me.

That might be Fab Dupont’s doing. I love his personality and the talent he draws, but, have been consistently disappointed by
    his recording and mixing skills.

  23. I think the Lighthouse songs were a lot softer and more intimate by nature so he was singing softer as well. Was an arrangement decision. Agree that it's not quite as strong through and through, but there were 4-5 really excellent songs on Lighthouse.

Sorry, it was a 2 LP set not 2 CDs, should read more carefully.
