well I have these from the 1990's and they do not need a remaster they sound great !!

    Ringo Starr - Ringo

    Ringo Starr - Goodnight Vienna

they include the era singles as well, and I bet you that if they redo them on Cd again they will not sound as good, a reissue for these Cds is sufficient the music does not need to be futz with like it probably will be with louder Cds, vinyl yeah why not but it won't beat the originals !!

I don't listen to them this is the first time I have taken them off the shelf to check what version they were etc since I last made a solo Beatles comp some years ago and I still have not listened to them but I may well do now :)

OK. Can't speak for everyone & won't try, but if these are well-sourced and well-pressed, automatic buys for me, and I am not a Beatles groupy at all.

It would be nice if the "Ringo" LP had the long version of "Six O' Clock" like the advance test pressings originally had. The cassettes had it as well as later CD versions. But the extended version has never been officially released on vinyl to my knowledge.

I have the 45 RPM box of 3 US Apple singles from RSD. They sound really good. Hopefully those reissues sound as good. I'm definitely in.

So I have both Friday Music versions of the reissued BAD BOY LP unopened. Same catalog number for both. How to tell the difference? Stickers are identical. Anyone?

I just got the blue one (so far), but it has a sticker that says it’s blue. Not sure about the Gold one, but I know @Mazzy has one. Maybe he’ll chime in...

How many of the Time Takes Time colors did you wind up getting? All three?

I just picked up the Friday Music of Time Takes Time.

I had not heard the album before. Some good music on it.

But the mastering is not very good. Quite compressed, and sounds a bit harsh. Disappointing.

So Ringo Starr colored vinyl is easier to get than Paul McCartney colored vinyl. :D

In all seriousness, I just went for the S/T and GV. Because they're good.

Sadly not surprising. I got the Barnes and Noble Ron Wood - I've Got My Own Album To Do by Friday Music recently. Compressed sound, harsh in the high end, light on low end.

Yup. Pretty much describes it. I wouldn't be surprised if it were from the digital master prepared for the CD.

BTW, I meant "Yes please do", not "Yes they will be released".

I'm absolutely no insider of any kind at all whatsoever. [Always the last to know...]

Anyone here ever seen a schematic or "who's who" of the front cover of Ringo? Looks to me like Klaus had definite people in mind. Darned if I can figure out who, though.

^^^ THIS. I'm sick of seeing people complaining about reissues coming out. It's absurd and smacks of elitism.

I prefer GV over RINGO. Always have. I don't need to hear "You're Sixteen" or "Oh My My" ever again.
