Looking forward to the Tool vinyl reissues, and 10,000 Days first official vinyl release. All signs point to them being done with care. Also the new Tool album. King Diamond Abigail tour DVD/Blu Ray and hopefully new album. Just for my own personal treat, I'd like to have an Animals 83 reunion tour release, album and DVD.

So far I'm looking forward to:

Fever Ray, new album is already available digitally but I'm holding out on listening until the CD comes out in February.

Fischerspooner - first album from the electroclash duo after extended hiatus produced by Michael Stipe of REM(!)

Oasis - Standing On The Shoulder of Giants is the next one to be reissued. There are a ton of great demos and alternates from this era.

Also, the Pet Shop Boys have talked about wrapping up their reissue series with a box set of some sort that presumably wouldn't overlap too much with what's already been released on the bonus discs. Very curious about that too.

My understanding was thit it’ll just be all the Further Listenings collected up together in one box. Would be great if it turned out to be a true box set instead.

The Kirkwood Bros. are painfully overdue for a Puppets release; freebasing cactus pulp is beginning to yield diminishing returns for that seductive kiss of desert psychedelia.

I need another Dead show like Appalachia needs an infusion of Oxycontin, but I'd spill the Beans for a Summer '73 or '74 box.

This post reads like a training exercise for cryptanalysts at DEA...

A few new albums not yet mentioned:

Gin Wigmore - 'Ivory' - The first four singles released from it have been great, more raw than her previous stuff. Recommended for Amy Winehouse fans.

Vampire Weekend - New LP - Sounds like this is pretty much finished. In interviews, Ezra Koenig has been saying that he's been inspired to write lyrics that are more direct.

Gin Blossoms - New LP - Recorded with former R.E.M. producers Don Dixon and Mitch Easter. They've previewed a couple of tracks live.

The Jam Sound Affects and The Stones Goats Head Soup are on my dream Super Deluxe list, and Beggars Banquet And Let It Bleed.

It would only be worth it to me if they use the masters and left them raw sounding
    as opposed to processed.

I would LOVE some proper, band approved Stereolab re-issues, with B-Sides. On vinyl.

  10. Can anyone confirm Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds Live at Luther College is getting a black vinyl wide release after the RSD coloured vinyl release last month?

Yes. It's listed on the SSD site as a pre-order for sure. I highly recommend it. The colored version sounds amazing. (Actually, Music Direct says January 5th).

Forgot, 2018 should also bring a AAA vinyl reissue of Before These Crowded Streets, from Dave Matthews Band. Possibly a true gem coming.

You know there's a live album just release called The Chapel. Think it's limited.

Gotta love the optimisim, or delusion depending how you look at it, about the Tool vinyl releases.

Likely: new studio albums by John Prine (Spring), Rod Stewart & Bruce.
    Hopefully: second album from Shura.
Wishlist: Rod's remaining vault stuff on Rhino and a debut from All Kings & Queens (Gabriella Cilmi and her brother).
