Wasn't Lisa Bonet supposedly pushed of The Cosby Show for the nude scene in that Mickey Rourke film?

I'd heard that one but wasn't sure so I looked it up. Seems not.

From Wiki - Bonet, then 19, accepted the role of 17-year-old Epiphany Proudfoot in the movie Angel Heart opposite Mickey Rourke, directed by Alan Parker.

In the film, several seconds of an explicit scene she shared with Rourke were edited to ensure an R rating.[10] It was followed by a topless centerspread in Interview magazine.[11] After announcing her pregnancy during the run of A Different World, Bonet left the series.[12] The following year, she returned to The Cosby Show, but was fired in April 1991 because of "creative differences".[13]

I disagree that the writing on Bonanza was markedly superior to The Big Valley. The levels of quality were quite comparable

Tony Clifton was fired from Taxi, but he was notoriously difficult to work with

Security guards forcibly remove Tony Clifton from the Paramount lot

Hmmm... that looks suspiciously like Tony Clifton's stunt double to me...

I think you mean NCIS, not Blue Bloods, for Jennifer Esposito. I had wondered why she left the show!

No, it was Blue Bloods. She was Donnie Wahlberg's original partner.

Knowing what we now know about Cosby, the hypocrisy of him here is pretty stunning...

I think the hypocrisy of the likes Lena Dunham and Judd Apatow, the way they have been reacting to Cosby, is far more stunning.

    P.S. Don't speak for me.

It was also my understanding that Dzundza thought he was going the star of the show as well, and not just one part of an ensemble, which in turn provided additional impetus to his decision to leave the show.

There has been a lot of controversy within the Star Trek community regarding the real identity of perpetrator, but as it's such an incredibly toxic (and downright ugly) subject, most avoid discussing it.

Then why did Jennifer Esposito leave NCIS? Same reason?

She just quit without reason given as far as I can tell - it seems to be of her own volition. I don't think she stays on any one show for very long - she also quit Spin City after 2 seasons 20 years ago.

How about Mandy Patinkin leaving Criminal Minds because he didn't like the subject matter.
