I bought a used BluRay copy of this last week at a thrift store for $1. After watching it for the first time a few nights ago, I quickly realized that I had overpaid.

I would refuse if asked in the future! Luckily, I found a good home for that putrid waste of plastic. I put it in a Christmas gift basket for my neighbors who can't wait for the next Adam Sandler movie.

Beverly Hills Ninja with Chris Farley. You just feel really, really bad for Chris having to subject himself to that kind of physical abuse to try and get a laugh out of people at this point in his career / life.

Any feature film with Tina Fey. Also her TV work.
Glad she wasn't on Parks & Recreation very much.
That was actually a funny show.

Was there ever actually anyone who thought the "Stuart" character on MadTV was funny?

MadTV had some really fun moments with the original cast, but it became pretty hit or miss (more often miss) after that.

I think the worst thing about MadTV were the recurring characters (Ms. Swan, Lorraine, Stuart). They were even more one note and annoying then many of their SNL counterparts (which is saying something).

Yeah, I don't really like any of the "beat the one joke into the ground" characters. I think MadTV's commercial parodies are often really funny though.

The late night court jesters masquerading as comics are predictably boring in their robotic playing of the same "one note" over and over and over.

    Not funny.

Not even trying to be anymore.

    Ditto SNL.

I can't even stand to look at Will Ferrel. That face of his just makes me want to punch it.
I'm probably the only person here that got some laughs out of Stuart Saves His Family.

    Problem Child.
I think their is actually a scene played for laughs where some one gets hit in the nuts with an aluminum base ball bat.
Did this come before or after Home Alone?
If after, than I blame the success of that for Problem Child, not to mention Problem Child 2 and the live action Dennis The Menace movie.
Am I forgetting any other 1990s movies about "cute" kids inflicting violence on adults?

Problem Child came out first (July 27th, 1990). Home Alone came out November 16th, 1990. Both are fantastic advertisements for birth control and/or sterilization. :)

I've not seen "Problem Child" since 1990, but I absolutely loathed it - mainly because I thought it was so awfully mean-spirited.

The movie tried so hard to generate laughs from the mistreatment, neglect and abandonment of a child - that just didn't work for me...

I feel bad for Bob Newhart whenever I see Elf.
I can understand Robin Williams' suicide more.

I saw the long-forgotten Blake Edwards comedy Blind Date (Bruce Willis/Kim Basinger) on a transatlantic flight back in 1987, when it was still a 'new' film. I didn't laugh once.

My Mum (who was with me) commented afterwards: 'Was that meant to be a comedy?'

I don't think that I saw it, but wasn't that Bruce Willis' first starring film role after the success of "Moonlighting"? I remember it being fairly popular when it came out, probably due to the popularity of "Moonlighting".

If I never hear the word "Mee-aaan" with a syrupy SoCal accent it'll be too soon.
Someone thought it was funny, as it's repeated over and over and over...
