There have been a few threads regarding favorite Christmas movies, TV shows and so forth, but what about New Year's (Eve or Day) themed shows and/or films? For myself, I always liked this old Popeye cartoon. What about you? What are some of your favorites, and why?

As long as I've got friends over, I think I wanna put this on over in the corner....just dancing - eye-catching, fun, popular...perfect:

The whole movie isn't a New Year's theme, but I always think about When Harry Met Sally that way because of the big final scene. I do really love that film.

It's a British film actually, starting Kenneth Branaugh, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson and Rita Rudner. It's set on New Year's Eve.

"After The Thin Man" which is the sequel to "The Thin Man," a great Christmas movie.

Wasn't that the first actual sequel ever?

I watched The Thin Man for the first time this year. Maybe I'll check this one out too.
