Yep. If it's not crushed then you have to turn it up more.

Actually it's perfectly enough one really good, audiophile friendly mix to be done, and then squashed and loudified for the streaming lossy platforms.

Better stick with the crushed /mastered loud version then, sorted.

Everything you've said about volume is a red herring, as far as the issue of this remix is concerned. Your attempts to salvage your initial (misguided) point aren't helping.

    Michael I LOVE WIDE S-T-E-R-E-O!

I am heavy into outtakes, sessions, etc...that's where the fun is.

    Have no qualms with that.
Though I used to really appreciate more in the nineties.

Cellphones and computers can be "good stereo equipment". This isn't the late 1990's anymore.

Not sure if I'm part of the "us" or if I'm more of the "them". What a conundrum.

I agree...I remember when SP, YD, CONDOR, hit the scene it was incredible.

Congratulations, but some folks are, and your misguided comments about playback volume are only serving to create confusion. Over and out.

Once again, for those of you who like the new remix, enjoy! For those of you who want the original unmolested stereo sound, the inexpensive 1987 compact disk is for you; each song has its own sonic signature, left intact, just like the 1967 stereo master tape. Faithful to source.

Either way it's one of the most amazing records ever created.

    Happy New Year!

The Beatles CD breadbox was also a good deal, a few of the titles sound good including the original wide s t e r e o
    SGT PEPPER.

I've kept every copy of Pepper I've ever bought.

I see no reason why the remix should be any different.

Wide Pepper, Mono Pepper, Remixed Pepper, MFSL, Ground Pepper, Crushed Pepper, Black Pepper, NY Red Pepper Sauce, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Butthole Surfers "Pepper"; between my music collection, my fridge, and my spice rack, i'd say that I'm a serious Pepper fan.

The N E W Y E A R brings the White Album something that should be at least interesting in 2018.

There is no 'i' in either us or them. Pretty easy equation, you are right and the others are most certainly wrong.

Ah but put "us" and "them" together and you get "The Sum".

    How apropos.

The posts here will certainly be, of that I have no doubt.
