I had to go with Flaming Pie- it's just such a terrific album.

Come now. It was plucked as the lead single for the LP recorded with the rest of the Ram tracks in New York at a time when lead singles were often not included on the LP’s they supported. Another Day was added to Ram years later on certain releases.

Point is, Another Day is a Ram track. It counts towards why it’s a better McCartney LP than all others.

Another Day has never sounded like it fits on R A M imo, but Oh Woman fits better.

    Rated highly at one time.
    I think it's a tad underrated now.
Kudos to Elvis C for getting McCartney to play his Hofner bass again.

I've never personally read the critical praises of the Dear Boy masterpiece by critics or peers.
RAM was an average album if being generous for decades.
Then it became the hipster choice by those who wanted Paul to have some non polished credibility.

Closely followed by RAM, however RRS was my first solo McCartney album, so fond memories.

Side two is appealing for its medley end coda. Nice bit of sequencing there.

Mamunia is beautiful musically and lyrically.
No Words has a great Beatles vibe too with the harmonies.
I like Back to the Egg too but a lot of filler.

Ahhh...no "Another Day" is not on "Ram". Just as "Paperback Writer/Rain" is not on "Revolver". Heck...even "Helen Wheels" is no longer considered a part of BOTR album proper. Just because you wish it so does not make it so.

  13. Impossible to vote for just one!!!! This should have been a "vote for 3", "vote for 5" or better yet "vote for as many as you'd like" poll!!!
That said... I'll vote for one of my 3 faves... probably the one with the least amount of votes (currently "Flaming Pie")...here's my great McCartney albums listing...
ALSO**- "Electric Arguments" should have been included!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Level I:
    "Band On The Run"
    "Flaming Pie"
"Chaos & Creation In The Backyard"

    Level II:
    "Ram"
    "Back To The Egg"
    "Tug Of War"
    "Memory Almost Full"
    "New"
    **("Electric Arguments")

    Level III:
    "Venus & Mars"
    "Flowers In The Dirt"
    "Off The Ground"
    "Driving Rain"
    ("Run Devil Run")

    Level IV:
    "McCartney"
    "Red Rose Speedway"
    ("Choba B CCCP")

I like the idea of looking at each decade of Paul's career and ranking the albums.

Nothing wrong with nonsense rockers. I just think that one is enough. Two of them seems a bit much. Smile Away works pretty well coming as it does at the end of side 1 right after the musical variety of Uncle Albert. Monkberry Moon Delight is OK, but goes on a little too long. Neither song is as good as even the weakest song on BAND ON THE RUN.

No, it isn't. Just because it was done during the Ram sessions does not make it a track from Ram. It was not released originally so therefore it's disqualified
