" The BEATLES are Coming! "
Original 1963 Capitol Records U.S First Promotional Item
    c., late 1963.

Four rare 3'' x 2'' unused adhesive stickers from an original roll. This was the very first promo item developed by Capitol Records U.S. in late 1963 .. preparing the road for the intensive BEATLEMANIA 1964 marketing attack.

" The Beatles 10" - Tenth Anniversary Capitol Records Styrofoam Promotional Display

" The Beatles 20 " - Twenty years later in Jan/Feb 1984 these promotional stickers
were part of the 20th anniversary celebration by Capitol Records U.S.
This is the only unused example I have left from a roll I once owned.

Mr Oboogie, sorry for confusion... this was a yearly magazine from the
Official Beatles Fan Club U.S. .. actually there was a green cover one in
1971, it had no photo just a plain green cover.
Happy New Year to you!

"The Beatles VS The Four Seasons" - Vee-Jay Records Sealed Mono LP

    Beginners luck...
My first major record convention was the "Rock N Roll Expo 1975" in
Washington D.C. over the July 4th weekend. I had started serious Beatles collecting while living in Northern VA. after ordering an import from a local record store in 1974 .. which led to my meeting a major chord collector, and it all took off. I went to the convention with a good friend from Pgh, who also was a collector. I had just turned twenty years old that week.

I walked in... completely overwhelmed by the enormity of the room and crowd.
My friend and I got split up, so I went on my way. I recall standing at a large table with some Beatles albums set up on the wall behind. Tons of boxes in front of me of all kinds of stuff. I was new and green, but had studied and learned fast from this super collector I met via the record store. I'm flipping through the Beatles box ... and BAM!! I see this, but I can't believe what I am seeing.. A perfectly SEALED VJ ''The Beatles Vs The Four Seasons'' album. I held the LP and asked how much ? ... $ 25.00 he tells me. Sold! Now I'm out of my mind!
Within minutes I find a SEALED "Revolver" Mono LP .. How much is this ? ... $ 6.00 he says.
I pay him, and turn to head up to the hotel room. What beginners luck!

Turns out I knew of the guy after I found out who he was...
He was one of the original big time Beatles dealers from the old days.
I mean 1973.. very early go to guy. I used to be on his mailing list in '73 - '74.
He and people like Chris Foneville and a few others, I still have one or two of the sale sheets.
498 Beattles and Decca pink promos were $ 500.00 back then.
Amazingly, he still sells on eBay today, mostly memorabilia.
He still lives in the same town down south, incredible.

marmil It's such a long story...

That's funny cuz a year later I went to a record sale at a local college and got the exact same record in the same shape (sealed) for the same price.

I remember buying a few things from Wayne. Is he still around?

John Lennon's Sgt. Pepper Uniform (1967)
As it appeared opening day at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Museum.
September 2, 1995 .. the all day all night concert was amazing at the mistake on the lake.
A day I will never forget, we scored tickets at the last minute and then drove straight to Cleveland, OH from Hollywood, FL .. 19 hours straight. Got there just in time for the start.
No sleep, drained... but flying high. One of the greatest concerts ever...
This was one of the premiere pieces for me, breathtaking!
