And I think it's you Canadish folks who're really the ones into the GW. They seem to have been way bigger in Canada than down here.

Not that they weren't popular in the US, but they're clearly more highly regarded up north!

Why did you write this? No one's said anything that implies that.

If you went with the logic of going by rankings, then Thriller is the greatest album ever (nope!).

Its a long running joke, not directed at anyone or any thread, but has been said before.

Good lord at this point just unlock the doors and let anybody who wants to go in in.
The Guess Who were pretty wonderful.

Someone said " the Canadian Beatles"
It was kind of true up here in Kanaduh!

They really did have a Beatles knack for writing great melodies....
    They had " the shinnin'"

Perhaps marketing from the label kept them from U.S exposure?
The "biz" was "growing up" along side the band itself up here.

    Maybe they were too "pop?"

Is BTO in? Because BTO > Guess Who

No. There is really no significance to them. Just a marginal band with a few hits.

Incorrect, although the combined mass of the members of BTO is likely greater than that of the Guess Who.

I think they should always be inclusive of at least the main branches of a group's 'tree'...within reason.

I agree, as their current bass player is Rudy Sarzo, better known for stints with Quiet Riot and Ozzy Osbourne!

The RARHOF holds no credibility for me. There should be an option for that. The guess who are pretty good, but if I were one of them it wouldn't matter whether or not the band made it in or not.

How many and what bands are already in?

Seems like it should be the elite of the elite bands in there.

They may not be significant, in your eyes, and that’s fine. But, to call them marginal with a few hits, that signifies you don’t know your Guess Who. In 5 1/2 years, they had 13 singles in the top 40, one of which went to #1. Not too shabby

If I said I thought they were poop instead then one would've had to accept that as my opinion. :cop:

But - as I said - I thought some of their stuff was alright.
