Has nobody listened to & digested this yet?

I have to confess; I started to & gave up after about ten minutes.

The podcast starts with 5 minutes of instrumental wonderment from Uncle Frank and then degenerates into some good old fashioned hype for the new Roxy box. The recording quality of the interview is execrable but I will persevere...

Can't read this without imagining how it would sound with Ike Willis saying it.

I found Moon & Rain, but they weren't talking to Dweezil.

Nothing revelatory in Ahmet's. Everything's going swimmingly.

I'm tired of paying attention to either of them. There's stuff going on there that's beyond my ability to understand or influence.

For my part, Dweezil's touring, and I look forward to catching the next stop here.

And the Vault releases are good-and-plenty. I can dodge the masks and 3D nonsense and not miss much.

Now get off my (Crab Grass) lawn.

There's a few 'episodes' on that link. It's the second one from the top!

I listened to 3/4 of it. Very positive and upbeat. Love the acoustic Frank they played between interview segments.

I did listen to another 30 minutes or so, but bailes when Ahmet used the phrase " fan experience".

    Thanks Vince

That's a very small part of the interview - those were "fan" questions that were posed to Ahmet. The bulk of the interview was made up of questions from the host of the podcast (who, by the way, Ahmet invited to be their official "Podmaster" to produce podcasts for the official Zappa site).

I was planning on buying the AF 50th on LP& a newer copy of Freak Out! but after stumbling on this I going to save $30 and only buy the new CDs.Ridiculous&Idiotic.

There's something creepy about anything Zappa related being spoken of in terms of "assets." Really, Ahmet? It's audio and video. Banks log "assets." Creative types talk about "material" or "work" if they're really being clinical.

This is like Disney buying up Lucasfilm and then acting like it's just a standard recipe. "Yeah, we can whip up an experience for the fans. We just follow these simple steps."

These are the types of people who could make being struck by lightning sound like something you'd sleep through...

The Dweez & Moon podcast is a real 'pallet-cleanser' to all that...

    From the transcript:

The correct answer is: He should visit the Harry Fox Agency web site and pay the mechanical copyright fees for the number of copies that will be released. There is absolutely no reason Dweezil, or anyone, would need to contact the Zappa Family Trust about recording an album of covers.

Has anyone listened to this? Towards the end of the podcast, Moon mentions that towards the end of her life Gail revealed that Frank has 4 other kids.
