Very sad news. I really liked him in Motörhead and Fastway. He was a great player. RIP.

RIP... those three (Lem, Philthy & Fast Eddie) were a huge part of my childhood... as were the first 2 Fastway lps.

Sad news -- somehow I always imagined these guys would live forever. Pneumonia, 67 and in hospital? Not how I anticipated.....

In an interview from just over a year ago he's talking about having problems with his breathing and lungs. If he didn't manage to recover from that and then got pneumonia it will have been difficult for him. It's an excellent interview, if sad to read in places.

I always loved Eddie's guitar (and singing) on this deep Motorhead cut.

I always liked "Please Don't Touch" Motörhead with Girls School. 10" EP rocks hard.

Not too surprised as I always thought of the band as mainlining freebasing fast living overkillers.

Oh, geez, he had emphysema. That explains a lot. Very sad news of a great musician. R.I.P.

Agreed -- that's a somewhat sad interview, he does sound worn down there.....still, he lived an interesting life, no office job for him, rock on Eddie! Thanks for posting.

This is a shock for me. With him, Philthy & of course Lemmy, Mötörhead was the ultimate rock and roll band. So sad now they're gone . No matter, their legend is stronger now. RIP Eddie .

Sad passing. The first couple of Motorhead albums are all legendary and extremely influential; more influential than they are given credit for, really. Hope he is raising hell in heaven now with Lemmy & the gang.

Been a while since I heard it, but I know Eddie played on Curtis Knight's 70's album Zeus. Very talented guitarist.
