not love per se, but one of my recent purchases after many many many years of not getting any maiden. You should stay away from the remasters.
Yes, from what I have listened, they are quite badly remastered (loud!). Anyway, I didn't find the album that interesting, so I'll stay away from any version .
"A Raga Called Pat (Parts I-IV)", by John Fahey. The first two parts come from Days Have Gone By (1967), and the last two from The Voice of the Turtle (1968). John creates a sound collage mixing his incredible fingerpicking guitar playing with steam trains, animals from the wet forest, tropical storms, Tibetan buddhist monks, etc. Amazing
That era is the most "rock" Miles ever got. By the end of '70 (Cellar Door Sessions) things went in a decidedly more funk direction.
Right now? Am listening to Tom Paxton's Morning Again lp--next song coming up---"Talking Vietnam Pot Luck Blues!" And the best one liner in the song>>>>>"What's the matter with YOU baby?"
I don't usually house a hotel of quotes, but you guys are killing it. A scroll down Memory Lane, neverending, like a random Friday night jam session here in the bat cave. Anyway, cool on the Phaedrea, my first TD purchase. When I first played it upon purchase (they were playing it in a record store), minutes later my parents came a running, wondering what in creation's sake was going on lol (remarkably, only time they ever did that). Really apprish the Manzanera, have admired that record for a long time. Minstrel in the Gallery is just a cool listen. Cipollina rules, I actually saw him with an outfit called Copperhead long ago (after Quicksilver broke up), and I will never forget it. WB&L the loudest band I ever saw and Nantucket Sleighride, an album I adore. Not to forget the Dark Side of the Moon, Jack Johnson, For Your Birthday Party and Hendrix Fillmore either that I couldn't image-quote. Rock on.
