    Beau Brummels '66

Though, personally, I prefer the reunion album to the '66 covers album, but it's not a good fit. Vol. 44, which compiled unreleased Autumn stuff would be a good swap out, though.

The first six Sabbath albums were issued together as a fancy boxed set way back when.

Interesting picks for Herbie. You wouldn't add any of the great albums from his Mwandishi band fusion era? I'd replace The Piano with either Mwandishi, Sextant or Crossings.

Good point. Herbie's tough as well. The Piano isn't particularly groundbreaking, but I really like it. It also gives a glimpse into the kind of voicings and ideas he uses when it's just him, a piano, mostly standards, and some recording equipment. It's also one of two direct-to-disc recordings I've heard in which the artists didn't seem to be playing far too safely. But a Mwandishi album should be in there. I personally would prefer one to Future Shock, but that album had a great deal of influence. So I suppose Empyrean Isles and Maiden Voyage are close enough that one could be removed and replaced with Mwandishi.

You don't have to change the list by the way, its your list after all. I was just curious as to where you would rank the Mwandishi albums compared to the ones on your list. Its all subjective after all, if you prefer The Piano and Future Shock to his other works then that's perfectly fine :)

...I wish Mr. Elfman would respect his past enough to do some deluxe remasters of their early albums. Complete with unreleased tracks and soundtrack songs. Waiting patiently......,

Ha! I forgot I even posted this.

And yes, I'm in full agreement with you. There are enough decent completed songs and b-sides from Oingo Boingo that it would be well worth wrapping everything up in a tidy package. I'm still waiting for the extra tracks from the final album to get a proper release. "Vultures" kicks seven varieties of ass. :D
