Can't think of many, since almost none of my favorites released albums that year.
    The only two I can think of are;
    John Lydon-Psychospath
    Yes-Open Your Eyes
John Foxx and Louis Gordon-Subterranean Omnidelic Exotour EP
    Bruce Dickinson-Accident of Birth
    Judas Priest-Jugulator

It was released in the last week of Sep 96 though I consider it a 97'er cuz it got a lot of play at my place then.

    Redd Kross - Show World
This was a good one for/during that year too. this one was a 97'er

If you remove that terrible Oasis album and replace it with an album from either Gene, Placebo, Stereophonics, BLUR, Echo & the Bunnymen, Dandy Warhols, Supergrass, Portishead, Mogwai, Ben Folds Five, Super Furry Animals(and a few other ones I am forgetting), you would have my Winning 5 Titles, as the other 4 on your list are my Top 4 from 1997.

Most underrated(based on I doubt many people bought it)-Joe Jackson-'Heaven & Hell'-one of my favorite JJ Albums.

The Good Old Days before Downloads & Streaming and we all went out(in my case stoked) to buy the CDs on release day(I was not aware of New Albums being released on Vinyl in 1997, but apparently there was Vinyl Releases for several albums and I want to add them to my start up Vinyl Collection, since 1997 is my favorite Year for most Albums released that I like a lot).

I struggled to come up with 9 for 1997, but the following were certainly the ones I was listening to that year. I think I was still deeply involved with listening to a lot of stuff from 1995 and 1996.

Time Out Of Mind - Bob Dylan
    Homogenic - Bjork
    Innamorata - Pat Benatar
The Beauty Process: Triple Platinum - L7
20th Century Blues - Marianne Faithfull
    POP - U2
    Maladjusted - Morrissey
    The Dance - Fleetwood Mac
20,000 Watt RSL - Midnight Oil

My first Fleetwood Mac Album. In the early 2000s(2003-04), I bought the Deluxe Editions for ST, Rumours & Tusk-then re-bought them when they added a 3rd CD in recent years-not sure if ST released in the next week is only a Box Set, or if there will be a 2-CD or 3-CD Set available like for Rumours & Tusk where if you bought from Amazon, you got the Download of the Concert with it, which made it a great bargain for the price. I also recently bought 'Say You Will' and the Reissues for 'Mirage' & 'Tango in the Night'(the 2-CD Sets). Also bought the 'Live in Boston' CD/DVD Set. Also bought 2 LB Solo albums, 'Out of the Cradle' & 'Go Insane'(had to pay a little higher for that one off of Discogs or Ebay) and one of his Blu-Ray Concerts(Songs from the Small Machine: Live in LA).

Bowie's Earthling is really that only album from that year that I would consider a favourite.
