What if you removed "Oh! Darling" and added "Bip Bop"?

Surely a good running order, but I've loved Abbey Road the way it was intended to, so no need changing it for me :)

All seriousness, being that they basically started the Abbey Road sessions out of nowhere while finishing Get Back, what if the pre-official sessions were mixed in with the Get Back songs to create an improved Get Back (we can call this Savile Row):

    Side One (studio):

    1. "Let It Be"
    2. "Something"
    3. "Two Of Us"
    4. "Oh! Darling"
    5. "Octopus's Garden"
    6. "I Want You" (missing the "She's So Heavy" section)

    Side Two (live)

    1. "I've Got a Feeling"
    2. "Don't Let Me Down"
    3. "One After 909"
    4. "Dig a Pony"
    5. "For You Blue" (studio recording, added to the "live" side to give George another song)
    6. "Get Back"

If anything, I would keep the track running the same but put in Ballad of John and Yoko in place of Maxwell, and then Old Brown Shoe in place of Octopus Garden. Maxwell and Octopus Garden could have been a 45 geared toward the younger kids getting in to the Beatles. and Ringo could have had an A side....

As far as Im concerned anyone can make any playlist they wish.
But to call it leaner, meaner and much better than the real album
    borders towards
    HYBRIS
With that said it s up to anyone to like and dislike whatever they like
but it has nothing to do with the original album that imo is perfect as it is. As a whole were the summary is better than some of the parts
Change anything of that makes a nice playlist but Abbey Road it ain t.

I am wasting my time reading this thread, when I could be listening to music. My bad.

And BTW, Abbey Road is a masterpiece as it is.

Paul has some shoes on and no cigarette in his hand. John thought it's way too hot to have a beard and decided to shave it off. George's denim jacket is replaced by a white shirt.
It w as a hot and sunny day in London on August 8th 1969.

Is it common knowledge that ‘I want you’ and ‘because’ are the same riff?

Took me years to realize this.

Btw, adding ‘maxwells hammer’ and ‘octopus’ to let it be could only help let it be.

This is one of the more bearable attempts. I have my own issues with the record though. Come Together and Here Comes The Sun just got overplayed for me to the point I never want to hear either one ever again.
