  2. I can't help you with new stuff, but you can't go wrong with the vintage SPEC amps.

I would think the Pioneer Series 20 M22 Class A power Amplifier has to be near or at the top of the list.

CrazyCatz Great shot kid. Don't get cocky!

Well I'll give a Shout Out for the SA-508

Used Daily for the last 2-3 years, and always looking out for another at right price..I've partnered this Amp with a Sony Blu-ray Player and 2 different CD players.. Marantz and Cambridge Audio and it sounded Great with all of them.. though the Marantz (which it's hooked up to at min) I think is a perfect combo.. Punch and Warmth :)

3 more would be the Series 20 M25, the SPEC 2, and the SPEC 4

    Can you be more specific?

Are you interested in amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, or receivers? Or all three?

  9. A really good Integrated is the SA-9500II. I had one for many decades and only sold it a few years ago.

    My SA-9500 has 3 position turnovers. It's a tank.

I had a A-70 120 wpc circa 1982 that was pretty damn good.

I have had one like this since 1977. It still sounds good.

For people in the USA, SPEC and Series 20 is the best of the best.

For people in Japan, Exclusive is the creme de la creme of Pioneer. The ultimate Pioneer and the best the company could make.

As for sound quality I thought the A-07 was rather good.

BTW- CR-220 is an all discrete design SS receiver. Best I ever heard for solid-state, but prefer tube design.

  20. Was that a whole line of Exclusiv gear or just turntables?

I have an A227 still in use and love it. It's made my Arcam alpha 3 redundant!

There was a whole line of Exclusive gear. Japan domestic market only. Even loudspeakers.
