If you haven’t already explored the 50’s and 60’s works of Alfred Hitchcock, you should do so. He laid the groundwork for the kinds of thrillers you’re into.

    Psycho
    Rear Window
    Vertigo
    North By Northwest
    The Birds
    The Wrong Man (1956)
    Rope
    Frenzy

Donan's Charade is such a great Hitchcock tribute it should almost be included with Hitch's films.

Try the General's daughter, Night Moves, and The Big Easy

Haven't seen AH because it looked too glitzy for my tastes (I don't like stylized movies). Sicario is something I was planning to watch. Seems to have had great reviews.

  9. More a caper film than a thriller, but The Bank Job with Jason Statham might be up your alley.

Night Moves was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I haven't seen the other two, though I'm generally not a fan of Travolta.

Stylistically, American Hustle is very similar to Martin Scorsese films like Goodfellas and Casino. If those are too stylized for you, then you probably won’t like American Hustle.

I love M. Night's first 4 films, since I saw you listed Sixth Sense:

    Unbreakable
    Signs
    The Village

Loved Unbreakable and Signs but hated the Village. Split was actually quite good.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, not as deep as the TV series, but well worth a watch.

I've never seen Inception but the Bourne movies are utterly horrible, IMHO. It's a story that's been told 1000 times and the unbelievably jerky camera movement is beyond ridiculous. Not a fan.

The Swedish TV series is the best version...2 episodes/book. Basically extended versions of the 3 films.

Although, in my opinion, you must see the Nicolas Cage remake afterward. It's a straight adaptation until the last act when it goes hilariously off the rails. :)

I enjoy all of those films and a few of them are my favorites so we have similar tastes. May I suggest Manhunter, Coma, Gone Baby Gone, Zodiac, The Killing or Forbrydelson (Series not film), The Sinner (Series not film), Memento, Cold In July, Prisoners, A Time To Kill. I would also try the documentaries Making a Murderer & The Keepers if you have access to Netflix as they will give you the same vibe.
