Musty smell on a booklet

I want to ask you for a solution for musty smell on CD booklets.
I recently bought a first fatbox CD pressing of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway by Genesis and an US pressing of the 1993 debut Suede album.
The problem is that the booklets smell musty and it's annyoing.
Did anyone of you get rid of this smell?

 

put in a close container with a couple bounce dryer sheets - the outdoor scent works pretty good

might not get it all away but it cuts the smell down pretty good

I had a 50's lp that I salvaged that way recently

 

How about this

 

Put the booklet in a freeze bag filled with coffee powder. Store it for about two days in the freezer and the smell should be gone.

 

Throw it away.

 

The guy is in Poland. They may not have Bounce there.

 

I use to shop in an old second hand record store, and everything smelled of incense and something "smoke-able". Some of them still have the slight smell attached....which I now accept as part of the history and joy of buying second hand.

 

I actually found something similar and put the booklets in a container with it.

 

Madonna’s Like A Prayer came out smelling like patchouli. Kind of a neo hippie gimmick.
How do I get that smell back?

I don't mind that smell (good thing, since most of the LPs I collect date back to a time and place where climate control was rudimetary to nonexistent).
