It's a great album with great songs. Your opinion on it is spot on. To me it's in my top 5 McCartney albums.

New was pretty good but it's not new anymore. I'm waiting for a new album.

Don't let it get you down. If you believe in NEW, then that's all that counts.

Take it from me. The amount of abuse that "Bip Bop" gets here would drive a person crazy. But it doesn't faze me one iota (as I'm already crazy). ;)

I don't think Paul is pretending to make an angry face, he's just making a face, to the music, like millions of other musicians do as they are playing.

The Rockshow version is my favorite though, that scream at the end....ugh, the chills.

I don't know what photo they are talking about, but here's one in which a drunken Paul asked Ringo to marry him, and Richie said "yes": ;)

I like New a lot. Just 5hink that EOT is one of the weaker songs.

I sure wouldn't elevate it above Band in the Run but it's a good album. And Everybody Out There, in my opinion, is a good song. In fact, I'm listening to it this very minute (after watching that Soily video).

I would agree. The version I listen to is the one I burned, to include all the bonus tracks. It's such a varied, and fun album. I personally don't have any problem with the songs being ridiculed.

Look at my list again, I definitely included Soily, and I like all versions, but my favorite is the one from Wings Over America!

The night I saw Wings and they performed it for the final encore with the lasers, I can't even begin to tell you the thrill that went thru the crowd! I don't think anyone had seen lasers like that before and on top of all that a hot hard rocking song! It's a night I will never ever forget!

Whaaaaat?! Well, if it's ready to go, let's have it then- the only other Deluxe Archive edition besides McCartney II I'd actually go out and buy!:D
Ahem...as someone who's been playing guitar, bass and drums (and now keyboards!) for over twenty five years and have my own home studio, I think I know a little bit about production and a sh-tload about rock and roll!
"Early Days" was my favourite song on New, which is why I'd want Paul to do something in the solo acoustic, singer/songwriter vein. Hell, as far as I'm concerned "Yesterday" didn't need a bloody string quartet!
Mr Vanderbilt is 100% correct, @maccafan. Hey, if you want Paul to make Driving Rain II, maccafan, that's fine and dandy- personally I'd like to take him out of his comfort zone a bit and make him do something he's never really done before for an entire album. I think Driving Rain is one of Paul's worst albums- it's basically the Wild Life aesthetic for the new Millenium and was about just as successful as Wild Life was IMO- which is to say, not very successful at all.
    Pre-ordered!

Indeed. That was my point exactly. One of them is rock and the other isn't.

They have been posted on a Facebook group that I belong to.

I have problems posting it here. I think if you search March 5 or 6 date and Paul then they should come up.

I would love a semi-acoustic album from Paul clockfull with songs of the same calibre as Early days, Every night, Calico Skies, Jenny Wren, Warm an beatuful, Im carrying, Here today and so many other great songs within that style. Imo the very heart of Pauls talent.
Rock might be fine but perhaps also a bit generic and boring.
The last really great rock n roll from Paul was the wondweful Run Devil Run. Only Mama knows is pretty good to.

I'd like to hear him do a hip hop version of Bip Bop.
