Don’t know him yet, but looks like I’ll get to see him in NC too...

Yep - look forward to checking Clementine out here in Asheville! Have to say my head would've practically exploded though if Laura Mvula or Juana Molina were doing any of the Stateside gigs.

Thank you, David! Honestly can't wait and what a great lineup of folks he's got on board for these shows. This is what it's all about - yes!

There is no track called American Utopia (as far as I know) on the CD.

Saw the concert last night. Very impressive! The new material meshed well with the Talking Heads classics.

Sorry -- I copied that from the Vinyl Factory link, which has that listed. According to the Discogs entry, you are correct there is no such song (at least not on this album)!

Any thoughts on the album from people who have listened to it all the way through? Previewed some tracks and thinking of pre-ordering...

DR=6. Even if it were the best music ever recorded, how pleasing could the listening experience be with all the instruments squashed together on top of each other. Why why why do artists do this?

Maybe it's the label, not the artist? If it's DR6 then this will be the third big name artist where I've skipped an album for the first time in their discography (Robert Plant, Steve Earle were the first two).

Is this based on the stream, or a copy of the CD/LP?

Ok. Let's hope the vinyl copy is at least a little better.

Why would it be? Labels don't do separate mixes and mastering for vinyl.

One of the coolest things about Byrne live is not knowing what you'll get. Or how he'll present them. After the Speaking In Tongues tour's arrangement of "Psycho Killer," I got differently re-arranged versions of that song on other tours.

There are multiple examples of new vinyl releases having better DR than their digital versions, are there not?

  23. I’ll pick up the LP this weekend. Byrne is really hands on so I’d guess however these sound , it was his choice.

Curious. Do you know what the difference was? The digital version was another abysmally low DR that caused me to pass. I just don't do anything below 8. It's not worth my time.
