The Breeders are one of my favorite all-time bands. All Nerve is SOOO good. I like it much better than Mountain Battles or the Fate Fatale EP, even though I like both of those. Anyone else digging this album?

I love hearing Josephine Wiggs singing too!

The packaging is great and my pressing is perfect, though that inner sleeve left some crazy static at first.

Anyway, awesome album, hope they keep to it.

I was going to pick this up yesterday. Someone walked out of the record store with the last copy they had literally minutes before I got there.

I will try again next payday. I can't wait to hear it.

I couldn't wait for the vinyl to come and listened to the digital version last night. Very nice.

We've been discussing this over here: New Breeders single "Wait in the Car"

But this thread was inevitable which is why I came looking for it! The vinyl is very quiet and exceptionally satisfying, IMO.

Great album. I'm not a huge Beach Boys fan, but I listened to a lot as a kid. Does anyone else hear a Brian Wilson thing going on in Dawn, Making An Effort?

This is good news. Has anyone got the orange vinyl? Or is there only orange. I was surprised to see it wasn't that expensive in Japan.

Just listened to the first two tracks and it sounds really like vintage Pod-era.

Picked up a copy yesterday (orange vinyl) and listened to it twice today. Really enjoying it.

Im loving hearing this album is a very good one. Reminds me of getting a very good Sleater Kinney a couple of years back. Girl power!

Orange is limited edition, with black-background in the cover. Black vinyl is standard, with white background on the cover.

It is a really good album. Up there with Shame's debut this year for me.

Kim was smart to leave the Pixies.

(...and it hurts to say that!)

    Great album!

Really like it esp side 2. "Dawn" is the highlight for me.

Not sure why, but after I got the orange vinyl I went out and bought a second one! Figured it would be good to have a second copy for my old age.

Played it on repeat last weekend. I think my favorite track is the last one. And I finally get to see them next month live for the first time ever!

Got the CD, absolutely obsessing over this GREAT album.

Anyone have the mastering info for the vinyl? I went CD for now since I couldn't get the scoop.

What is great about this video - aside from the wonderful songs - is watching how much fun they are having playing together

That was the case when I saw them four years ago. It's pretty clear why Kim devoted herself to the Breeders instead of the Pixies.

Yes, and it is an interesting artistic comparison at this point - in my opinion Kim has now eclipsed anything the post-Kim Pixies have released.

Thank you! Do you know what the source was? I'm assuming digital, just want to be sure it's not 16 bit.

Right? We need the Deal sisters to be more titillating. Maybe they'd be a good band then...

Frankly, Kim could give me a big bear hug in sweaty t-shirt with a lit cigarette hanging from her mouth and I think I'd just be blown away by her authenticity. Wanting her to change anything is just missing the whole point, IMO.
