I wish I knew about your book before we visited England. I'm sure it would have provided more insight. Our guide was loaded with knowledge but after the tour he told me after 14 years of doing this he's never had a customer that knew about the Beatles more than I. He said that I taught him things that he was going to use on future tours! But, he had something that I could never have prepared for, getting us from spot to spot through the traffic.

Yes! This is the only real home that all four of The Beatles shared together at the same time. Thanks for posting the video! I've never seen this before. I wish we could have gone inside.

Thank you. You'll find a video representation of our Beatles tour posted on YouTube. Just search britt2001b and look for our European vacation videos. You should find the Beatles tour on day 5. I had to use cheesy background music though. YouTube kept deleting the real Beatles music. The rest of the YouTube videos are just boring home movie stuff. Not trying to share it with the world, it's just an easy way to watch our home movies.

I knew you would get it! The signs will give it away. None of the other Beatles attended. Paul's brother Mike was the best man but was an hour late because of a train breakdown. Paul & Linda would not start the ceremony until he arrived. Keith Moon also attended.

Yep! I really thought this would be tougher. You guys know you're stuff!

Paul lived at the Asher's home while he dated Jane. This is where he woke up with the tune of "Yesterday" in his head and wasn't sure if he made it up or if he heard it elsewhere. He and Peter had bedrooms on the top floor. I don't know if you've heard this story, but this is where Paul would sometimes have to sneak out the back of the house on the upper floor and walk a narrow banister to the next residence occupied by a retired British military man and enter his window and leave Wimpole street from there. I believe Peter's father worked out this strategy for Paul and asked permission from the neighbor. He agreed and was usually reading the newspaper and drinking a glass of milk when Paul entered the kitchen window. Paul would sometimes sit and have a conversation with the neighbor before he left.

The basement of this home (picture attached) was where Paul & John auditioned "I Want To Hold Your Hand" to the Asher's just after writing it. I met Peter Asher just two weeks before we went to England at Abbey Road On The River in Jeffersonville, Indiana. (Picture also attached). Got to meet Denny Laine there also.

Picture #'s 13 & 14: (I'll change this up a bit since the next two have signs that show the location. So, can you state what significance do these have in Beatle's lore?

Picture #2 is of course the Bag O' Nails nightclub, big time Beatles hangout where Paul first encountered Linda.

Picture 1, I'm guessing, but could it possibly be the Speakeasy? Another big Beatles hangout, where John, George, Cyn and Pattie ended up tripping balls after the Dental Experience...

    Great thread!

Makes you wonder about the effects on economy and tourism based on Beatles history... :)
