Forgot to mention that Mark Linett was responsible for tape restoration and mixing on this project. It was pressed at Hand Drawn Pressings in Dallas, Tx.

    Brilliant news! Thanks Indigo.
Do I have to get on a mailing list for that?

It's probably a good idea, though I will be posting it on the GC newsletter and website too.

I got an email today. It states that this release will be available again later this year but only as a digital download.

It will only become available as a download after the vinyl sells out.

Yes, after the numbered copies have sold out. So it sounds like the vinyl will be available in limited quantities followed by digital downloads once those have sold out.

    Me too!

I was expecting the fairly pedestrian Newbury Comics store at the mall to not have it, and indeed one of the clerks had a blank look on her face when I inquired about it. But there it was!

Thanks for that, just saw Clarkophiles post there as well. Never received an email from Sierra myself even though I bought TLSS. If shipping to Ireland is reasonable I'm definitely in if it becomes available.

Yeah, not totally heartbreaking as I have a couple of the tunes on the Studio Sessions LP already, but I would still like to get a copy.

There is zero overlap with the Omnivore release. The songs on both releases date from roughly the same period (66-67) but there are no duplicate performances. There are, however, two vastly different interpretations of the same song, ‘Yesterday, Am I Right.’ The title is common to both, but these are unique performances.

Two songs on the RSD release were included on Sierra’s Lost Studio Sessions.

Thanks for sharing. I went to Sierra’s site and saw that they also had a vinyl record called “Early LA” from RSD last year with a Dillard and Clark track at the end. It looks like it’s a 6:29 minute long version of “With Care From Someone”. Does anyone know what this is? The version on their self-titled LP only clocks in at 3:50.

The Byrds, David Crosby, The Dillards, Leon Russell & The L.A. Wrecking Crew*, Dino Valenti, Gosdin Brothers*, Dillard & Clark Expedition* - Early L.A.

The past few years have been a bounty for fans for which I am quite grateful. Still I can't help but wish someone like Bear would put together a box set with all this stuff together. Which of course would not be easy with all the different ownerships of the music. But I'm only a few years younger than Gene....not too many shopping days before Christmas I'm afraid.
