Rolling Stones Studio Albums 1971-2016 Vinyl Box Coming June 15th*

Voodoo was originally 2lp

 

My "Voodoo Lounge" bought in 1994 was 2 LPs, and STILL didn't include "Mean Disposition", one of their best evers. (IMHO).

 

As I have all their boxes why should I buy this one????

This is crazy. I know the other vinyl box came out 8 years ago, but I feel like that was really well done. I don't need this new box. What gives with this? Different imprint?

 

New half-speed mastering, also sounds like they have taken more care on reproducing the original artwork, and of course the addition of Blue & Lonesome

 

You don’t beed too nor do I since I have those first boxes too.

Unless you need the numbered certificate of authentication.

 

Wonder if Blues will sound better than the terrible original LPs

 

If they have kept the dynamics this time, I may just sell my SHM-SACD remasters to fund this purchase...

 

Just pre ordered on amazon uk for 370 time to sell up my originals plus i dont have voodoo or BTB or ABB

 

If one thinks this is 'crazy', then there is a very simple solution to not buy it and let those who want to, do it instead.
There is re-releases everywhere and this is only another option and another offer along the line.

As I always say, it's not the record companies' fault that the fans can't hold onto their money everytime a new product comes along.
If there wasn't a market for these releases, they would not even be considered to start with.

Am I the only one who thinks it's a little weird for them to release a big lavish "complete" box set like this, while they are currently supposedly working on a "new" album that they've been hard at work on, for a number of years, that seems like it should be finished sometime relatively soon? It's going to really bug me, when there's going to be the studio albums box on the shelf, and then the one straggly later album left off it, sitting there by itself. Oh well. I guess they already know they will eventually re-release it yet another time in the future, with whatever other final albums added in.

 

To see that their going back to the original packiging and their half speed mastered makes it that bit better

Your originals will probably have the better edge unless they are trashed.

Wasn't the Exile that came out a few years ago an Abbey Road half speed cut?

 

We don’t need it we we have those boxes. But they are out of print. Shouldn’t other folks have the opportunity to buy these at a normal price ?

 

Was that last tune from the final blues album ? You can heaR the congested sound of it.
