Yeah. I realize that Amazon didn't want to pay to reshoot the first episode, and they benefit from the "watch when you want" experience, but that first episode is a dog, and I almost didn't continue after watching it. If this were broadcast TV, the first episode would probably kill the chances for the show.

Amazon should have a disclaimer: "Please watch at least two episodes before you decide to bail."

Through 6 eps and loving this show. Bryan Cranston is such a gifted actor; you can definitely see Walter White's potential for menace fully realized in Vince. Margo Martindale is good in everything . This show is vaguely reminiscent of Leverage in its use of cons and con terminology, a plot device I don't normally like but serves the story well here. I'll definitely be watching season 2 when it hits.

Has anyone heard if or when there will be a second season? The show was really entertaining but it hasn't seemed to generate much buzz.

Don't know yet, I have some other things to get through first, but I'll get to it soon. I also have to remember what happened in S1! :)

It hasn't missed a beat. And the stakes for "Pete" are raised dramatically in the first episode. I hope we see Cranston at some point. I do have a question, though, and it isn't spoilery: Maybe I missed something or forgot from season 1, but what is the significance of "Pete"'s mother, and where does the $11 million come from?

The 11 million comes from the heist the real Pete and his mom did before going to prison.

So, I've binged the season. I thought it was pretty good, but not as good as season 1. The narrative felt a little scattered among too many characters, with less focus on Pete and his bag of tricks. There were some caricature level baddies too, which detracted a little from taking things too seriously.

But, it was still very enjoyable and the twists kept on coming in the last episode, which seemed to set things up for another season.

On a side note, the actress that played Pete's mother seemed very familiar to me, but I couldn't place her immediately. Then I realized it was 'Mel', Niles Crane's girlfriend from Frasier! I hadn't seen her since that show and while she's aged quite a bit, there is no mistaking those eyes, mouth and mannerisms.

Yeah, I'm halfway through it and while it's good, it doesn't have the snap, crackle, and pop of the 1st season.

i just finished watching season 2 of Sneaky Pete. Another great season.
There was a song in the ending credits that I cannot find any information on. Does anyone know how I could go about finding the name of the song/band?

    thanks

I'm three episodes into the second season and I'm enjoying it so far. But my memory must really suck, because I don't remember the first season being nearly as hard to keep up with. It seems like Pete/Mariusz has become one of many subplots as opposed to being the central narrative. Everyone in the cast is sneaky now.

I'm *really* dreading the next season of Bosch because every time I watch it, I have no idea what's going on even if I enjoy what I'm seeing! I completely forget everything in the year between seasons and even the recaps don't help much.

Same here, I struggled to follow the new season of Sneaky Pete and all seasons of Bosch. And I've even read all the books Bosch is based on.

I finally got around to starting season two today (I let my Prime lapse earlier this year and just renewed before the rates went up). The first couple of episodes are pretty good, and I got a good laugh out of the "Kid Charlemagne as lobby distraction" scene. Also, I found out while watching that Goliath is coming back for season two in June!

Didn't try to read too many possible spoilers above, but [thanks to the good tastes of forum members] I gave Season 1 a try a few days ago and really enjoyed it ...…...several episodes per evening.
    Moving onto Season 2 tonight.

Good luck w/Season 2. I've rarely seen such a nosedive in quality from one season to another.

Just burned through S2 of this over the last few days. Excellent show, I enjoyed this season just as much as S1. Jane Adams was a great addition. And the scene where real Pete is trying to play reporter to the Indian Casino manager was hilarious. I was hoping he'd find a way to score with her AND still deliver the juice to her drink to taker her out of commission, but he gave up the obvious action to not let his buddies down. As usual with shows like this, my least favorite character is the kid (Carly) who has to play junior detective. Shades of Dana Brody on Homeland.

Marius "Pete" and Julia are great together. I really like their scenes where one has to help the other pull the wool over someone and get out of a situation, like with the pink backpack full of money and the parole officer.

I'm out! I couldn't get past the second episode. This show's turned into a lame soap that could air on the CW. If I had to hear another conversation about past and present relationships...argh! How the show has fallen since S1.
