Where is the port located? Is it on the bottom?

In the back. It's an oval slot.

I was a bit suspicious of price at first until I saw the build quality and heard how good they sound.

As midrange speaker... too expensive. But a good speaker for a big desktop.

No doubt $10K is a lot of money but keep in mind the build quality. These are full Wilson cabinets and current WAMM-based driver technology. They weigh just under 30 pounds each. The paint quality is as spectacular as anything they sell.

I suspect a lot of current customers and pro engineers will pick these up.

You’re trying really hard to justify it. It’s not working but don’t let me stop you.

I think a good alternative to the Wilsons would be the ELAC Adante AS-61at $2500 a pair, 25% of the price with great engineering included.

Edit: And why don't they port them to the front allowing more placement options.

I see no reason to complain about the price. I can't afford them. Wilson isn't trying to sell down to me. So it doesn't matter. I can still appreciate them as an audio nerd who likes gear. In the highish end gear, $10,000 or so for 2-way bookshelf/desktop monitors isn't that out of range. There are headphones that cost $5,000 or $6,000 or even more and audiophiles are buying them. So $10,000 or $12,000 for 2-way desktop speakers from Wilson isn't a shocking price.

AnalogPlanet also has a launch day review of the TuneTot. And has a picture of the back that sort of shows the port.
Wilson Audio Specialties Today Launches TuneTot Desktop Speaker System

I don't know how far from the back wall the TuneTot needs to be for the rear port to have enough room. A rear port can make desktop or bookshelf placement more challenging if your bookshelf or desk is against a wall. Front port designs or bottom port designs can offer more placement options. Would have been really neat if the TuneTot had the port on the bottom and used that IsoBase to tune and direct the port.

I love the Adantes but they are nowhere near the build quality of a TuneTot.

There are two dense foam inserts that fit into the port to adjust the bass. My review sample sounds better without them but I only have the desktop as a boundary, no rear wall.

I was about to post the YouTube video, but you beat me to it! Not something I'll ever be purchasing, or even demoing. But I do like knowing what's out there if I ever becoming so rich that I can demand things that are truly uncompromising.

Those foam inserts are port bungs for the bung holes. And you have to say it like you're Cornholio. :D

To me the sound is the important thing. Designer anything seems to me to be a waste of money.

10 000$ for a 6 inch based speaker 2 way mini monitor is absolutely a shocking price.
what a joke. its totally unheard of as far as i see in the market.

The price is way over the top, they use good drivers but they are drivers from sb acoustic or simliar class, nothing really exotic there, and the cabinets are good but still, even B&W 805 D3 are 6000$.

you can get atc scm20ASL active for 4-5k. You can basically get any 2 way monitors active or passive from all the main pro companies for less. PMC, ATC, Neumann, Quested, Amphion, hell even geithain rl944k is about the same price.
